I love everything book related. Don’t believe me?
These are my favorite shoes:
For Halloween I dressed my daughters as literary characters:
This is one of my favorite shirts. I wear it all the time.
Are you like me? If so, here are a few ideas to put on your Christmas Wish List … or things to buy for the readers you love!
You can click on the images, and it’ll take it to the sale page! [These are affiliate links]
1.
“Library Stamp” Women’s V-neck T-shirt
When I see this shirt it makes me think of the Weed Library in 1981 {I was in 5th grade} when I would check out piles of books.
2.
Out of Print Library Card Unisex Socks
How cute are these? These would make a great stocking stuffer. {Hint, hint}
3.
Reading Journal: For Book Lovers
I always have a hard time remembering what books I’ve read. This would be so helpful!
4.
Personal Library Kit
This would be great for my “keeper” shelf. Too often I lend out books, and then I forgot who I leant them to.
5.
Card Catalog: 30 Notecards from the Library of Congress
This would be a perfect gift for my agent and editors. {Shh… don’t tell them!} These cards are so cute!
6.
Liebrary Game
I’ve had a lot of fun playing this gave with my author friends.
In Liebrary, players are given a book title and the plot summary and then asked it create the most believable first line of the book. The object of the game is to bluff other players into believing that their first line is the correct one.
The more outrageous the better.
7.
Plot: Element of a Novel Laminated Educational Poster
I would love this for my office!
8.
Alice in Wonderland Print
This would look adorable in my girls’ room. {Yes, I’m willing to share}
9.
“Composition Book” Literary Themed Tote Bag
I might not wait until Christmas for this one …
after all it matches my shoes!
Where’s #10? Remember that t-shirt I wear all the time? We can match!
What about you? If you could choose one of these gift items what would you pick?
If you could choose a perfect “readers” gift for you, what would you pick?

I love the library stamp tshirt. It has extra significance since at the end of December the last non automated branch in our county system, which I have staffed for 10 years, will close. I still use a date stamp and the cards there. Yesterday was my first day at one of the other branches where I’m replacing a woman who retired after 30 years at her branch.

Oh my HEAVENS — I am in LOVE with the shirt and the socks! I may have to do a similar post (as a ‘hint hint’ for myself)!
Thanks so much for sharing!

My soon to be future daughter-in-law is studying library science to get her masters and she actually has some of these items on her “Desired” board on Pinterest. How cool is that to have a board friends and family can go to and buy gifts you know they’ll love?

Is the Alice print one of those made with basically all the words of the book printed really, really tiny? Because those are incredible. I wish I could have one for every book I love! (And my own library and gallery to display them, while I’m wishing)

Super cute ideas, Tricia! My daughter is a serious bookworm, so these gave me great ideas!

What fun! My favorites in this terrific group are the personal library kit, the Plot poster, and the Alice in Wonderland print.
The best reading-related gift my husband and kids could give me would be quiet time in which to simply sit and read. 🙂

Love these, Tricia!! And your Pippi and Annie are ADORABLE!! 🙂
I especially like the Personal Library Kit – – what a great idea.
Hmmmm….might need to drop a few hints at my house… 😉

Those are all really cute though I’m especially interested in the Liebrary game. Sounds similar to Balderdash only with books instead of word definitions!
Have you heard of those wall posters that contain the entire text of a book? You can get them at http://postertext.com/ or http://www.spinelessclassics.net/

I would pick the socks. I like the composition bag but I don’t think I would use it. And the game is similar to balderdash and I already have that game. But the socks are cute and definitely something I would use. 🙂

Love this to bits. I need the t-shirt and the socks for next Halloween and then I can tell the kids at school that I’m a library card. What fun, finds…oh, wait. We’re an automated library and the kids won’t know what a library card is! LOL

Kav, no they won’t! LOL

The Reading Journal and the Composition Totebag work for me.

Thanks for these great ideas! My 10 yr old daughter reads almost nonstop! For her, I love the reading journal, personal library set (so I can teach her how it used to be done), the notecards from the Library of Congress, and the themed tote! Since all she has on her Christmas list so far is books, these will be a great addition!!
