But hurry, the giveaway ends this Saturday (June 24).
And now a second opportunity…
Harper Collins Christian Publishing and I are gathering a STREET TEAM to help spread the word about my August release . . . To Wager Her Heart, the third and final novel in the Belle Meade Plantation series.
What does a street team member do?
- She reads the book before the release date, then posts her review on popular book sites such as Goodreads, CBD, Barnes & Noble, Amazon, etc…
- She tweets about what she liked most about the book
- She might create images to share on Pinterest or Instagram
- She encourages her local library to order the book
- She encourages her book club (or women’s group at church) to check out the book
In short, a street team member tells her corner of the world about the new novel!
If you have time in your schedule to partner with me and are interested in being considered for this group, please click HERE and complete the brief questionnaire.
And whether or not you’re interested in being considered for the group, I want you to know how much I appreciate the word of mouth you give my books. Word of mouth is still the best—and most effective—recommendation around!
Have you ever been part of a street team? Do you enjoy posting reviews of books you’ve read? Also, do you routinely READ REVIEWS before you purchase a book?
Blessings on your Tuesday—and I’m watching for your comments!
Tammy

I post a review for every book I read. I enjoy reviewing books and also enjoy being a line editor with CelebrateLit. I’m currently on a street team for Susan May Warren’s A Matter of Trust and the excitement is quite contagious and amazing!

Yay for you MH! Reviews really are SO important. Thank you for executing those so faithfully!

I am a very avid reader and post reviews on my blog, Amazon, CBD and Goodreads. I have reviewed books for Bethany House, Revell, and Chalfont House Publishers. You can find some of my reviews on my blog. (http://happycottagequilter.blogspot.com/p/blog-page_20.html)
I’d love to be a part of your Street Team.

I just entered the giveaway. Thanks for the notice.
I wouldn’t mind being part of the street team, but we will be traveling for a month from mid July through August. Like MH above, I always review every book I read, and have been on another author’s launch team. Good luck on the new release.

Thanks so much, Betty! And fun on your travels. Thanks, too, for those faithful reviews. They’re huge to authors! #grateful

I filled out your survey. I am or have been on review teams for: DiAnn Mills, Colleen Thompson, Lisa Harris, Book Club Network, Lynette Eason, and I leave reviews on any book that touches my emotions or is a page turner. I leave reviews at Amazon, Good Reads, B&N, Deeper Shopping, Christian Books and Walmarts if they carry that book. (Walmart doesn’t carry all the authors I read). I never leave a review for anything less than a 4. If I can’t get into the book or it’s just not my taste in books I don’t leave a review. Authors put too much time, effort & themselves into their work. I will never leave a bad review – I have left one that said that it just wasn’t a genre’ that I usually read & was sure readers that liked that genre’ would love it.

You’re a street team pro, Pat! Wonderful that you’ve helped so many authors in this way. It’s an important partnership that we don’t take for granted, so thank you!

Hi Tamera! Thanks for the heads up on the Goodreads giveaways. Also, for the opportunity to be a part of your team for “To Wager Her Heart”. I had seen your post on Facebook last night and immediately filled out the application! I am on several author street/influencer teams and enjoy spreading the word about their books. It also gives me the chance to get to know them more and meet other readers. I leave reviews all over the place; Amazon, Goodreads, CBD.com, Barnes and Noble, Pinterest, Deeper Shopping, and Harlequin for my Love Inspired books (and any other place I hear about). I also love making book quite graphics for lines that stand out to me and definitely recommend books to my library! I share my books with my sister-in-law who is also an advid reader. Basically I do anything and everything I can to help promote that author 🙂 It makes me feel good to give back a small portion to their hard work and dedication to writing quality books for us to read. I don’t generally read book reviews online, unless it’s for an author I am not familiar with. And only because I want to get a “feel” for them from other readers.
Again, thanks for the opportunity. I am anxiously awaiting to see if I am chosen 🙂 If not, I will still be reading this one and leaving reviews!

GREAT on all those review places, Trixi! And thank you for submitting an application. I hope we get to work together! Would love that. Thanks too for the kind words about To Wager Her Heart. I’m excited to share that story with you.

Love Street Teams and reading/reviewing on most of the books I read. I do read other reviews so I feel they are super-de-duper important. I filled out the application and decided I may read more books a month than I included as I thought of two more books I could have listed with my five. Blessings on your new release.
Tamera Alexander says
Thanks so much, Linda! And I agree on the importance of reviews. Appreciate you!

Dear Tamera,
I am on a few street teams, some of the authors want reviews and others just want to get the word out.
I get the word out by FB, email, and telling people about an author & his or her’s books. I volunteer in the church library and have for almost 40 years.
If I do give a review, they are usually “short and sweet”.
I only read reviews, if I don’t know a particular author or the publishing company they do business with.
We have all your books in the church library and our readers love them.

I review books on my blog and on Amazon/Goodreads. I work with several publicity groups to promote new releases. The “To Wager Her Heart” street team is tempting but comes at a bad time for me, since school starts in August and it always wipes me out for a couple of weeks. Wishing you lots of luck with your new release!

I’ve never had an official street team, but I’m beginning to think it’s time. This post and one from Diann Mills has me thinking about what it should look like. 🙂
