One of the things I enjoy about being a part of a community of Christian authors is how helpful the writers are to one another. For example, take my sisters here on the Inspired by Life and Fiction blog. When the person managing my website retired and I was flailing around trying to figure out what to do, authors Becky Wade, Karen Witemeyer, and Jody Hedlund quickly responded and recommended their own website designers to me. Then, Tamera Alexander informed me that our own Robin Lee Hatcher (who manages our blog here), also designs websites. I don’t know how she does it all–writes books, keeps us going here, and designs websites for people like Francine Rivers, but she does. So, after checking out all the recommendations (all looked good!) I decided to go with Robin, since I am most familiar with her, plus she’s tech savvy and so helpful and patient with someone like me who’s not. At all.
I liked my old site, don’t get me wrong, but it wasn’t mobile friendly and hadn’t been freshened up in too many years. Worse, it featured a very large and dated photo of me, and girls, I only wish I still looked that young! So yes, a smaller author photo was called for. Thankfully those book covers still look as good as ever. 🙂

So, thanks to my Inspired by Life and Fiction friends–and especially thanks to Robin–my website has received its much-needed makeover. (Probably time I followed suit…)
The updated site is mobile friendly, so it will be easier to view on your phone or tablet, as well as on your computer. It has several other new features I like as well. Doesn’t Robin do nice work? I think so.
To celebrate my updated site, I thought it would be fun to offer a giveaway. To enter, simply visit my website, then select CONTACT to email me with a comment about something you like about the website, or a suggestion for future content you’d like to see. I’ll draw a winner from the emails I receive.
The PRIZE: your choice of any book from Lifeway.com (up to $16), plus these adorable Pride and Prejudice and Jane Eyre page flags.
Thanks for helping me celebrate!
(Note: Giveaway ends 6/22/17. A winner living outside the U.S. may choose a book from a supplier near them to avoid customs duties and other fees.)

I like you new site. It’s easy to naviagte and it’s cheery, crsip and clean to find things easily. 🙂 Those are such cute page flags…lol Too fun! 🙂
Glad you like the site and the flags, Sabrina. Another author friend gave me a set of the P & P flags and I just had to buy myself some Jane Eyre ones to complete a set for myself, too. 🙂
Good morning, Miss Julie! Your new website is so inviting and pleasing to the eye. It made me feel good being there! Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent!
Hi Melanie. Thank you so much–what an uplifting comment to start my day!
Looks great, Julie! Everything is so clean and organized. 🙂
Thanks, Cheryl. I agree. Robin organized everything well.
Congratulations on the new updated site!
Thanks, Trisha!
Yay! Way to go on the new web site, Julie (and Robin). Love it!
Thanks, Becky. I appreciate it!
Julie, the best part of doing the websites for me is having a happy client in the end. Thanks for the kind words.
You are very welcome, Robin! Thanks again.
Julie & Robin, this is beautiful. Isn’t it amazing to have friends who have talents that make you look even better! This is a clean, inviting and refreshing look. (Said by a person who would never venture to do anything on a website!) I can’t do this but I know what I like. 🙂
Thanks, Rosie. And I agree; very thankful for friends with talent and know-how.
Your new website is wonderful! It’s so easy to navigate and looks so fresh. Robin did a great job with it.
Thanks, Winnie! I think so, too.
Love the new site. Anything that pulls new readers in and exposes your work to an expanded audience has to be a very good thing.
Good point–I hope it will. Thanks, Gayle!
I posted my comment earlier but I seems to have disappeared. 😞
The new site is gorgeous! I love the colors and all those gorgeous book covers that greet you right away!
I’m reading The Girl in the Gatehouse right now and I’m absolutely loving it! Captain Bryant is so dreamy! LOL And I love that Mariah is a writer. As a writer myself I’m really enjoying seeing that side of things from her point of view.
Would love to win
Love the new website! Congratulations to you and Robin.
I like your new site, it’s user friendly, the sign up button is very easy to find and the tabs at the top take you where you want to go without having to hunt around. I’ve resigned up for updates. I want to say again that I always love your covers and you are one author I still buy print books of….though if the kindle price is on sale I’ll sometimes pick up the ebook as well. I have not read Ivy Hill series yet (I own the first one), but have read everything else you have published.
Yay! I just spent time checking it out and I love it. I sent you a message as directed, so I won’t repeat it all here, but seriously, I am enjoying the new look. Bright and easy to use, which are two things I like! Great job to you and Robin!
