I’m a Word Nerd, and as such, I love playing word games. Words with Friends, Boggle with Friends, UpWords, Taboo, Scattegories, Bananagrams, Scrabble. I even keep a crossword puzzle by my place at the kitchen table, so I always have some word fun to work on.
I figure readers are word nerds, too, right? So why don’t we play a word game together? Let’s stretch our Word Nerd muscles and with some acrostics.
To play, create a poem or sentence where each word starts with the first letters of the two words below.
SPRING READS
You can use just SPRING or just READS, or go for the big mama and use both words. This is for fun, so we’re going light on the rules. Your sentence or poem can celebrate spring or your love of reading or both.
For example, I chose to picture myself taking a walk through beautiful spring blossoms.

And here is the acrostic I came up with:
S – Sunny
P – Park
R – Road
I – In
N – Nature
G – Going
R – ‘Round
E – Enjoying
A – Audiobook
D – Delivered
S – Sound.

GIVEAWAY
Enter your acrostic in the comments for a chance to win a copy of Cloaked in Beauty in audiobook format.

Winner will be announced tomorrow in the comments. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Ok. This was fun. Thanks for the opportunity. I made a sentence. I used me middle daughter’s name, Shenandoah.
Shenandoah played roque in new grass reading every acclaimed dystopian story.
I like it, Kim! Full of spring and reading. Perfect! And I love that your daughter is the heroine of your story. 🙂

LOL. I love it. Such fun pictures! And definitely full of spring. 🙂
I created this before I realized it was supposed to relate to spring. . . maybe the nymphs planned to take over the world in the spring? Or keep spring from coming? I feel like we could make a story about this.
Satisfyingly, Penelope restrained imperious nymphs’ grasping, reviling, evil ambitions, dauntingly severe.
Oh my. We definitely have some dark nymph action happening. So thankful we have Penelope to restrain them. 🙂
