This past weekend, Ken and I had a surprise chance to see our youngest daughter and her husband, along with our youngest granddaughter, now 16 months old. Springfield, Missouri is a halfway point for each of us and when Tavia’s husband invited her to come along and stay in the hotel while he attended church meetings, he suggested she invite us to stay too. Well, as infrequently as we get to see our grandkids—who are scattered from Missouri to Seattle—we couldn’t say anything but a happy YES!
We only had 24 hours together, but we had so much fun and got to know our precious littlest grand better—especially now that she’s walking (running!) everywhere and starting to talk up a storm. So sweet to hear her say “Papa!” when she sees Ken. She hasn’t mastered “Mimi” yet, but we’re working on it!

I’m so happy for you, Deb. Our grandbaby is the same age and I don’t get to see her as often as I’d like. She has a lot of energy too! Phew!

Glad you could see your grand baby in Springfield. I have two grandsons who live there and they are 8&4. We live just 45 minutes up the interstate . In between Springfield and where we live, we are sharing some land with our son and his wife. They are building out there. That’s quite an undertaking– out in the boonies! But the boys enjoy helping move logs and rocks! Thanks for you update. The covers are great! Tell your hubby he does a good job!
