Hi. I’m writing this at midnight. Just got home from Las Vegas. I had sad news our last day there. My only living brother (out of six older brothers and sisters–three of each) had passed away. He’d been very sick so we were kind of expecting it but it still was a shock. He died on my birthday and he will be buried today on what would have been our oldest brother’s birthday. (He died years ago of heart disease.) So we hurried home to attend my brother Waymon’s funeral being held on my brother Wendell’s birthday. Our brother Jerry passed away last fall and we had a sister, Glenda, who died in 1991 from a wreck with a drunk driver. I have two older sisters left. So it’s a bittersweet week for me. But I know my brothers are all together with my sister and our parents in heaven and that brings me peace.
However, I did promise to announce the winners from last week and then I’ll show you some pictures of our trip to the Romantic Times Readers Convention in Las Vegas. I picked four winners because it was so hard to choose just two. I so enjoyed hearing all of your birthday stories.
