My New Favorite Task/Calendar App

March 2, 2022 By D'Ann Mateer

I like lists and calendars, schedules and systems. Well over 10 years ago, after I decided I liked having a calendar and to list in my digital pocket, I subscribed to a productivity/task app new to the scene. It was based on the GTD method of projects and tasks and worked well for me for many years. However as this past year drew to a close I found myself tired of switching between my task app and … [Read more...]

A Quick Trip to Charleston

February 16, 2022 By D'Ann Mateer

Months ago we made plans for me to accompany Jeff on a business trip to South Carolina—and to stay a couple of extra days in Charleston. We've been there a couple of times before, always on business. And, I confess, since spraining my ankle very badly in Charleston in 2017, I always go back with a bit of fear and trepidation!  But this time would be a different trip. Cover Reveal x2

February 2, 2022 By D'Ann Mateer

As you know, I’m re-releasing my Anne Mateer books under my real name—D’Ann Mateer. Same books, new author name, new covers.  I’m so excited to share the next two with you, both designed by author extraordinaire, Roseanna White.  It’s funny, but reading these books back to back (and for the first time in over 10 years!) to get all the typos, etc, made me realize how similar the … [Read more...]

January 19, 2022 By D'Ann Mateer

As you know, I’ve been cataloguing the books in my library. I got about half done via barcode, but the other half? Too old for barcodes! So I’ve been inputting them manually, little by little. The other day I did a shelf of Grace Livingston Hill novels. I have a ton of them! Most are reprints from the 1970s-1990s, but a few are the old, hardbound books with fragile pages. As I carefully flipped to … [Read more...]

My Favorite Year End Task

January 5, 2022 By D'Ann Mateer

Some seventeen years ago, I was discouraged. After five years of writing, my motivation to continue was waning. I had written three complete novels, and while my rejections always came with good feedback, it wasn’t easy to find the will to keep going. Especially when I felt like I had less time than I wanted for writing, even with my kids in school all day. Maybe God was trying to tell me I had … [Read more...]
