My Puzzle Table

March 20, 2024 By D'Ann Mateer

Do you enjoy jigsaw puzzles? I do! But I confess that I rarely indulge in them for three reasons.  Two Christmases ago, both my mom and my husband gave me puzzles for Christmas. I put together the one my mother gave me, which confirmed numbers one through three above! Books I want to re-read

March 6, 2024 By D'Ann Mateer

While cataloging and arranging my home library recently, I ran across several books I haven’t read in a long while. Of course, that’s the majority of them, right? Second, we wanted to take our time re-shelving our books, including cataloging them.  This is the result! It’s almost completely done. We still need a round rug and a set of steps to allow us … [Read more...]

Story Shift

January 17, 2024 By D'Ann Mateer

There are two kinds of writers in this world. Well, perhaps three.  Plotters Pantsers Hybrids Plotters plan the story before writing. They know where it’s going and what comes next.  Pantsers are those who write "by the seat of their pants." They have an idea, sometimes very detailed, but they simply start writing and let the story play out on the page.  Hybrids are … [Read more...]
