Another day in the writing life

May 10, 2018 By Cara Putman

This summer I'm writing two books, maybe three. That means I have to make every moment count now that the semester is over, and I don't teach again until the middle of June. Yesterday I spent about four hours in my office at Purdue, but instead of grading or prepping for classes, I was writing. I wish I could pretend it was a pretty process. All you have to do is look at these photos to see … [Read more...]

What are You Reading?

April 26, 2018 By Cara Putman

As a voracious reader, my to-be-read pile never stops. Literally it is towering beneath my desk and next to my bedside...and on a bookshelf. And you get the idea! I love books too much. [Tweet "Do you have a #prayer #prompt? @cara_putman … [Read more...]

Last week, I was in Jordan. The one across the ocean. The one that required an 11 hour nonstop flight from Chicago to reach. It was an amazing and surreal experience--surreal in the sense that it was my first time to the Middle East. Notice the use of the word first. It's very intentional. [Tweet "Travel can change our perspectives. @Cara_Putman shares about her #trip to #Jordan. … [Read more...]

Where would you travel & Giveaway

March 8, 2018 By Cara Putman

My husband and I are headed to a new-to-us part of the world Friday. It has me thinking how incredibly blessed I am. As a kid, the farthest I had traveled was Niagara Falls and touching Mexico. I always dreamed about seeing more of the world I had read about, but didn't think I'd ever have the opportunity to do so.[Tweet "Have the travel bug? @Cara_putman gifting books set in Italy and Mackinac … [Read more...]
