What’s it like to write collaboratively?

April 13, 2017 By Cara Putman

Tricia Goyer and I are co-authors in a new Guidepost cozy mystery series. We're both head down writing our first book in the series, and it's a fun time of exploration. When you write on a Guidepost series, it's a little different from writing a book for yourself. I thought today I'd take you behind the scenes and show you how these books come to life. Book Cover Love

March 23, 2017 By Cara Putman

Have you ever thought of that book you're reading from a favorite author as part of that author's worship to God? I often tell people that much like Eric Liddell felt God's smile when he ran, I feel God's smile when I write. [Tweet "Is writing one form of … [Read more...]

Celebrating the Writing Journey and a Giveaway

February 9, 2017 By Cara Putman

Writing is such a journey. When I started writing 12 years ago, I hoped that maybe one or two books would get published. Well, the first one was published in the fall of 2007 and since then I've written 26 and I have at least two more coming. Crazy! It's easy for me to get so busy writing that I keep my head down and forget to celebrate all the good and fun things that are happening. [Tweet … [Read more...]
