Christmas Means Christmas Movies

December 8, 2016 By Cara Putman

Ever since I researched 1940s Hollywood for Stars in the Night, I've been a bigger fan than ever of classic movies. Growing up, my favorite movies were from the 30s and 40s...that hasn't changed. There's something I love about the simplicity of that time that shines through in movies that make me laugh and feel. So today I thought I'd share a few of my favorites. [Tweet "Love #Christmas? Thanksgiving: I’m Grateful for Writing & You

November 24, 2016 By Cara Putman

"]This morning there are people who are devastated, there are those who are … [Read more...]

There we spent time with family all with the excuse of a football game pulling us to town. Then Sunday morning the kids and I drove back while Eric stayed for work. Crazy. You can call us that. Surely at some point in time you've done something … [Read more...]

October 13, 2016 By Cara Putman

This week we're getting new flooring at our house. It was desperately needed, but if you've ever participated in a process like this, you know just how chaotic it is. Yesterday the installers were using the nail gun to affix plywood to the floor in prep for new laminate. The day before there was the strong smell of glue as the put down carpet in my bedroom, the hallway and stair. It'll be a … [Read more...]
