May 26, 2016 By Cara Putman

While I love to write, I'm always reading, too. I was a reader first. And I'll always be a reader. So today I wanted to share with you several books I've read in the last couple weeks that I really enjoyed. Be sure to go to the end and enter the giveaway. I have a copy of each of these books to share with you! I've also tried to select books that will appeal to all of our readers :-) [Tweet … [Read more...]

Finding Beauty in Unexpected Places

May 12, 2016 By Cara Putman

Last weekend I went out to our patio and found a fun surprise sprouting and blooming in the very narrow sand lines between the bricks. If you're on Facebook or Instagram, you'll occasionally see posts from authors about going dark, so that got me thinking...how can readers encourage writers in those drudgery days of little sleep, blocked creativity, and panic-induced, wild-eyed mania?[Tweet … [Read more...]

Behind the Scenes: Tools that Help Me Remember Book Details

March 24, 2016 By Cara Putman

I have a book due April 15th that is squarely in the legal, romantic suspense genre. As I'm racing to finish the book, we're squarely in the middle of titling the book and series. I wrote 75K words for this book before January, and then paused to write another book, and have been back at this one since around February 15th. [Tweet "Take a step behind the scenes w/ @Cara_Putman on her next book. … [Read more...]
