Well, dear readers, it’s that time of year again. Summer is winding down (although our 109℉ temp a couple of weeks ago seems to deny that), and the stores are filled with shoppers buying backpacks and school supplies to fill them.
I’m too old for shopping at Target and Walmart when it’s crazy like that. What I need I mostly get on Amazon (lazy shopper). But that doesn’t mean I’m not headed back for another college term. I am and I’m excited. In fact, I may be sitting in my Spanish class when you read this.
Since I’m a full time writer, I’m very part time in my college studies. That’s okay. I’m content to take my time. It’s the learning I love so I’m not making a race of it. Someday, God willing, I will actually graduate. I fully expect to be the oldest graduating student when I wear that cap and gown. I just want to do it before I need to use a walker to go up to the stage.
Anyway…
This fall term, I am carrying a heavier credit load than I have in the past. Add that to another book deadline, and I’ve decided to take a regular blogging break.
I’m very pleased to announce that we have a guest blogger who will fill in for me on my 2nd and 4th Wednesdays for September through December. I’ll pop in at the end of the month, just so you won’t forget me. 😉
Now without further ado, let me introduce our special guest blogger, Dani Pettrey. Watch for her first post on September 12th.
Meet Dani
Praised by New York Times best-selling author Dee Henderson as “a name to look for in romantic suspense,” Dani Pettrey has sold more than 400,000 copies of her novels to readers eagerly awaiting the next release. Dani combines the page-turning adrenaline of a thriller with the chemistry and happy-ever-after of a romance. Her novels stand out for their “wicked pace, snappy dialogue, and likable characters” (Publishers Weekly), “gripping storyline[s],” (RT Book Reviews), and “sizzling undercurrent of romance” (USA Today).
She researches murder and mayhem from her home in Maryland, where she lives with her husband. Their two daughters, a son-in-law, and two adorable grandsons also reside in Maryland. For more information about her novels, visit danipettrey.com.

Best wishes on your college adventures – I am impressed with your perseverance! And if it makes you feel even a little better it was 105 in Spokane when you folks in southern Idaho were cooking. Fall is going to be wonderful!
And looking forward to the guest blogger.
