Here are three books I’m currently reading and would highly recommend. And get ready, because I’d love to know what’s on your nightstand and if you’re enjoying the read!

You might already know I’m a fan of Kristi McLelland’s Bible studies and teachings. She’s an excellent teacher and has a God-breathed gift of communicating the Word through a middle eastern lens, which always informs (and corrects) my western lens.
“The Scriptures are a feast. They are meant to be experienced, taken into our hearts and lives as we trust they will do their work in us.” —Kristi McLelland
BONUS RECOMMENDATION:
If you’re looking for an excellent Bible study for your small group, Kristi’s latest Luke in the Land video study is truly special. It includes seven video teaching sessions shot on location in Israel with Kristi, beautiful color photography that helps you visualize places where Jesus ministered, and six weeks of personal study. Highly recommended!

We’re studying the book of REVELATION in Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) this year, and I’m really enjoying this particular book, which is providing further insight and clarity.

“Revealing Revelation provides an eye-opening look at what lies ahead for every person in the end times—either in heaven or on earth. Are you prepared for what is to come?”

Lastly, a much-beloved “staple” in my annual reading . . .
I always find such encouragement, conviction, and timely reminders of eternal truths in this study. Streams in the Desert makes a wonderful gift, especially to someone who’s hurting or struggling.
That’s what’s currently on my nightstand (along with a grape-flavored Waterloo and my Kindle). So what are YOU currently reading and would you recommend it?
Much love from Nashville,
Tammy
P.S. That is soooooo not my nightstand in the featured pic. LOL Way too neat and lovely.
Romantic suspense at a wild animal refuge? Yes, please! Ambush by friend and author Colleen Coble has it all: family secrets, a second chance romance, and all kinds of animals—both darling and deadly.

Oh Judy, you will be blessed!!❤️ I’m already praying for your time in the Word with Kristi.
We recently did Kristi McLelland’s Jesus and Women study (or feast, as she calls it). It has really stuck with me, and I see so many of Jesus’s interactions with women in such a richer and more intentional light than before. I’d highly recommend it for anyone–men included.
Could not agree more, Rachael. In fact, I think it’s a great coed study. Especially for husbands and wives. God’s plan of working together—Ezer Kenegdo (side by side & face to face)—enriches a marriage as only He can.
My nightstand is a bag in our camper right now, but here’s what I have with me:
• Miss Austen by Gill Hornby (for a book club)
• I Think I was Murdered by Colleen Coble and Rick Acker
• Born of Gilded Mountains by Amanda Dykes (I’ve been trying to read this for months and keep getting interrupted! I need to schedule a weekend away ONLY to read because I love what I’ve read so far.)
• I didn’t bring it with me, but like you, Tammy, Streams in the Desert, is always on my desk. I SHOULD have brought it since we’ve spent most of our travels IN the literal desert! 🙂
LOVE that we share “Streams in the Desert” love, Deb. I have Colleen’s and Rick’s book in my stack but haven’t started it yet. Need to get Amanda’s. Love her writing (and still need to finish another one of hers that I started but got pulled away from). Happy travels in the desert or wherever the road takes you!
Currently reading or studying Luke in the Land and will order the next Kristi book soon. Just love her books.
Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of Audiobooks. I’m listening to A Daring Pursuit by Stephenia M McGee and this whole series has been wonderful. It’s Christian Fiction.
We are starting the Luke in the Land study next week.
Our Branches women’s Bible study group picked this one.
