Mom and Dad’s 60th Anniversary

June 21, 2023 By D'Ann Mateer

Next week, my parents will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary, and we’ve pulled out all the stops to honor this achievement!  This past Saturday, the whole family (minus three grandchildren out of town) gathered in a suite at the Texas Rangers’ game. For all 51 years the Texas Rangers have been a club, our family has been a fan. We have spent many happy days at games throughout … [Read more...]

Since we last met…

June 16, 2023 By Robin Lee Hatcher

Soon after writing my last post, the revisions for my biblical novel about the Queen of Sheba arrived in my inbox. To my delight, the editors love the book. After about two hours of hiking, we changed into slightly nicer clothes and drove 5 minutes … [Read more...]

I always love it when Deb (Raney), a dear friend and my writing critique partner for 20+ years and counting, comes to visit, especially when she brings Ken! It was a quick visit—not even 24 hours but we packed in a lot of fun. Friday night our kids joined us for a simple taco dinner (including Joe's delicious guacamole), then we played Blockbuster, a game where you compete to discover who knows … [Read more...]

Quick! Let’s play a game!

May 16, 2023 By Tamera Alexander

Happy Tuesday all! It's time to play, "What are the last four items you've ordered on Amazon—and would you recommend them?" Disclaimer: If you've recently ordered something that's either really personal or simply not appropriate to share publicly, then you REALLY HAVE to share it! It's the game, after all! ; ) Okay, I'll go first. And I'll admit up front that there's a strikingly … [Read more...]
