Favorite Fictional Moms + Giveaway

May 6, 2021 By Karen Witemeyer

With Mother's Day right around the corner, I thought it might be fun to share some of our favorite fictional moms. I'll start. Ma IngallsI grew up with the Little House books and watching the series on TV. Caroline Ingalls seemed like the perfect mom. Patient yet firm. Courageous, wise, fun-loving, and full of love for her children. She also was a God-fearing woman who knew her Bible and saw … [Read more...]

Colors of Truth Audiobook GIVEAWAY

May 4, 2021 By Tamera Alexander

If you love listening to audiobooks then today's post is for you! I'm giving away FIVE audiobooks of Colors of Truth, a Carnton novel. Jeff and I had already planned to go up there to celebrate with her when one of my sisters called. She and my other sister were worried Elizabeth would be alone on her birthday and wanted to be there with her. (Both of my sisters have a unique relationship with my daughter.) I said, the … [Read more...]

Antique Quilts

April 1, 2021 By Karen Witemeyer

A couple weeks ago, my daughter and I got together for a Girls' Getaway Weekend in Waco, TX. Now that Bethany is pursuing her PhD At Texas A&M, I miss seeing her on a regular basis. So we've made a pact to get together for one weekend each semester. And because she's the one family member who is as big of a history nerd as I am, we always find a way to work in historical places to stay and … [Read more...]
