Moms, Fear Not

July 10, 2018 By Julie Klassen

I confess I am a worrier. I know we are not supposed to worry. That we are supposed to pray and trust. But that's difficult to do I think, especially as Moms. I thought things would be easier now that our sons are both over 18, but there always seems to be something new to worry about. Some new problem, some new situation, some new risk. I remind myself that I gave my parents plenty to worry about … [Read more...]

Our Summer Movie Adventure

July 4, 2018 By D'Ann Mateer

I know, it’s the 4th of July. But instead of a usual 4th of July post, I’m going to tell you something fun that happened last week. Something epic in our life as a couple. Done. Finally. This is especially true, I think, if the story has been more difficult to wrangle than usual. And so during those very final days and hours, it’s hard not to want to shove aside the … [Read more...]

60th anniversary of a church plant

May 15, 2018 By Tamera Alexander

On Sunday, March 6, my son Kurt and I made a quick overnight trip to Atlanta to see my Dad and to attend the 60th anniversary of a church plant that he and mom were core members of all those many years ago. It was the church I grew up in, too. It was such an incredible blessing to be there.   Kurt and Dad that Saturday   The church had such a wonderful celebration that … [Read more...]
