When heaven feels close

September 19, 2017 By Tamera Alexander

Better late than never? Not sure that's true in this case, but oy... It just hit me—at 8:47 PM tonight!—after going on a walk with Joe and Murphy that this wasn't the 2nd Tuesday of the month but the 3rd. Which is my day to blog. And yet all I have on my heart and mind right now is my sweet Dad . . .   Me and Dad in July of this year. Love this man. I've been keeping the roads … [Read more...]

Nearly Half A Century

September 4, 2017 By Lynn Austin

Last week, my husband Ken and I celebrated our wedding anniversary, and it was an almost-big one—47 years. We are inching our way toward half a century. The town is nestled in the Shawangunk Mountains, and seeing the mountains again is like seeing old friends. I always forget how much I’ve missed them while living in the flat Midwest. Peggy and I had a chance to go on several hikes while I was home, … [Read more...]

They Grow So Fast

August 3, 2017 By Karen Witemeyer

This past week I was blessed with the opportunity to spend time with two of my families: a portion of my writing family while I attended the Romance Writers of America conference and my immediate family, including a husband and three teenage children that are growing up far too fast. The conference was wonderful! I picked up some great marketing tips (my mind is spinning with new ideas I hope … [Read more...]
