It’s a Puzzling Giveaway

November 16, 2017 By Karen Witemeyer

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, I thought it would be fun to share some Witemeyer family traditions. Well, actually, this particular tradition is a Gaskin family tradition that married into the Witemeyer clan. (Gaskin is my maiden name, and yes, I thought it was really cool when I was a young girl to find it in the dictionary as part of a horse's leg! I was destined to write westerns, … [Read more...]

Spending Time With My Peeps

October 5, 2017 By Karen Witemeyer

The American Christian Fiction Writers conference took place the weekend before last, and for the first time since 2005, I was not there. Well, not technically. I love this conference. I wouldn't be published today without the connections I've made there. But this year, it just wasn't feasible for me to go. At least not to the official event. We met while attending college in Michigan, got married in my home … [Read more...]

A Half Empty Nest

September 1, 2017 By Jody Hedlund

This past summer was a challenging one for me in many ways. I shared about some of my earlier difficulties in this post here. After experiencing torrential rainfall in our town and almost two feet of flooding in our basement, I can empathize to a small degree with the Houston flood victims. It’s tough and the drying out and rebuilding is very time-consuming. Most recently, we had a couple … [Read more...]
