It’s Release Week!!!

June 7, 2018 By Karen Witemeyer

It's finally here! More Than Meets the Eye released on Tuesday. I always find the release of a new book exciting and slightly terrifying. What will readers think? Will they love it, or will it be a disappointment? This one was especially nerve-wracking since it is the first in a new series. More Than Meets the Eye is filled with secrets, flawed characters fighting for a fresh start, a hero bent … [Read more...]

Scripture Color Art

May 17, 2018 By Karen Witemeyer

I am NOT an artist. I have artwork in my house that my grandmother and mother-in-law painted. My uncle and brother are both gifted with wood crafts. Yet when you get together with Christian authors, there's an extra element that feeds the soul. This past weekend was the 3rd annual Inkette Retreat. The Inkettes were started by Dani Pettrey, and this wonderful group of … [Read more...]

Help Inspire a Writers Retreat

April 5, 2018 By Karen Witemeyer

I have been blessed to participate in a handful of writing retreats over the years, but one of my favorites is with a group of writers known as the Inkettes. This fun group was started by Dani Pettrey a few years ago, and we've had an annual retreat that meets in a different location each year. Our first year (2016), we went to Hershey, PA. All writers need chocolate, right? Well, not only did … [Read more...]
