A Visit to my Publisher

October 6, 2016 By Karen Witemeyer

Last week, I had the opportunity to visit Bloomington, MN and the home of Bethany House Publishing. I had only visited once before, back in 2009, right after I signed my first publishing contract. In January. With snow piled higher than I was tall along the sides of the roads. This time, the sun was shining and temps were in the mid-sixties. It was a glorious visit. And not just because of the … [Read more...]

Finding Wonder Woman Bracelets in My Sweat Invoking House…or Something Like That

September 7, 2016 By Cara Putman

I want all of my days to go beautifully and smoothly. I'd love for y'all to think that's how I roll. But here's the truth. Yesterday was not a Wonder Woman day. Then was back to work by 4:30 AM until I sent the document off via email at 9:05 AM. My treat for getting it done? Spending an afternoon and evening at the Western Idaho Fair with my hubby, daughter, granddaughter, and her husband. And the … [Read more...]

Summer is just about over and it’s back to work!

August 3, 2016 By Lenora Worth

I know a place where summer strives With such a practiced frost, She each year leads her daises back, Recording briefly, "Lost." Emily Dickinson Summer is almost over. Hard to believe school is starting back. I realized this in the Wal-Mart rush on Sunday afternoon. I no longer have to shop for pocket-folders or ruled paper or spiral notebooks but I was mighty tempted the other day to buy a … [Read more...]
