My Puzzle Table

March 20, 2024 By D'Ann Mateer

Do you enjoy jigsaw puzzles? I do! But I confess that I rarely indulge in them for three reasons.  Two Christmases ago, both my mom and my husband gave me puzzles for Christmas. I put together the one my mother gave me, which confirmed numbers one through three above! That spring, I was on deadline, so I told myself I would do the lovely Jane Austen’s World puzzle my husband got me as … [Read more...]

My Library and Book Buddy

February 7, 2024 By D'Ann Mateer

When we put our house back together in December, we saved our library for last. The reason was two-fold.  First, we had our bookshelves re-stained and they weren’t finished until late December. True story.  A few years ago I went through an "orchid" phase.  I bought about a dozen orchids and planted them on the front porch, the back porch, etc.  I bought special orchid pots, special orchid growth mediums, and … [Read more...]

Happy New Year! (So how late did YOU stay up?)

January 2, 2024 By Tamera Alexander

Happy New Year, friends!  Are you one of those who always stays up after midnight to usher in the New Year? Joe and I actually did this year, but not by design! LOL We just started visiting with all the Alexander clan (lots of extended family came into town), and we had such fun visiting and catching up with everyone that we didn't leave until close to midnight (but were still home just … [Read more...]
