The New Release YOU Helped Create

February 2, 2017 By Karen Witemeyer

If you are a regular reader of this blog, you might remember a post from about a year and a half ago where I invited our readers to help me brainstorm ideas for my next novella. (You can see that post here.) Well, that baby you helped create has just entered the world! Worth the Wait is the second story in the Ladies of Harper's Station series, and I truly believe it wouldn't exist today … [Read more...]

What’s Your Dream for 2017?

January 12, 2017 By Cara Putman

Happy 2017, y'all! Wait, you're thinking today's the 12th of January, and I'm more than a wee bit slow in sending New Year's greetings your way. Not really. The Good and the Bad of Writing Fast

November 18, 2016 By Jody Hedlund

Like thousands of other writers around the world, I’m participating in National Novel Writing Month (aka NaNoWriMo). During NaNoWriMo, writers commit to writing 50,000 words of a novel during the month of November. The bottom line for NaNoWriMo is that you have to concentrate and write fast. But I've always wondered if forcing yourself to write fast is helpful. Can any good come from a novel … [Read more...]
