Packing and Chaos and Books, Oh My!

July 23, 2015 By Cara Putman

We moved Saturday. The chaos is OVERWHELMING. Utterly, completely, creativity-killing overwhelming. Because we only moved a mile, this has been the long move. Literally, we've been moving things off and on for months. But Saturday, with the help of AMAZING friends, we moved the furniture. It's kind of mind-boggling how much stuff 6 people have. I thought we'd done a great job of purging and … [Read more...]

Time to Breathe

July 22, 2015 By Robin Lee Hatcher

My summers for the past 30 years have included deadlines. Book signings are a great way to maintain relationships with bookstore managers and staff and it is always fun to meet the dedicated fan who is excited to get an autographed copy of your book. … [Read more...]

Done Is Better Than Perfect

June 10, 2015 By Robin Lee Hatcher

On Sunday, I finished the revisions on my January 2016 release, Keeper of the Stars. The last two weeks were really gruesome. I didn't pull any real all-nighters but I came close. Groan. And when I saw the graphic saying "Done is better than perfect," I almost shouted Amen. I will never write a perfect book. At some point, I have to stop writing or revising or editing. I have to be done. Some … [Read more...]
