I live in North Carolina, but my sweet husband and I are going on a road trip to Nashville, so that I can attend this event. To say that I am looking forward to it, is an understatement.
I am SO excited that you’re joining us, Rebecca!! I can’t wait to meet you! 🙂
Can’t wait to meet you Rebecca!! And give a BIG hug to your husband for us! =)
Your husband sounds like a gem! I’m so pleased to hear that you’ve made plans to join us at the retreat, Rebecca. It promises to be a fun, God-honoring, inspiring day. I’ll see you there!
Looking forward to meeting you at our retreat, Rebecca – my thanks to your hubby for bringing you!!
I am!!!
I live in north Alabama. I wouldn’t miss it. I can’t wait to attend and meet some of my favorite authors!
whoohoo!!!! 😀 So happy you’re joining us, Melissa!!!
Yay Melissa! Will you be driving or flying. If you need help with logistics, check out the logistics facebook group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/CFRR2016/
That’s great news, Melissa! I’m looking forward to meeting you there. 🙂
YAY, Melissa!! SO happy you will be able to join our retreat!!
I’m looking forward to meeting you there Becky, but I hale from Canada!
we won’t hold that against you, Melony 😉
lol.. what Carrie said, but we still love you! Thanks Melony!
Wow! You’re coming from Canada, Melony?!! Carrie and Annie, I propose that some of the prizes be centered around things like ‘Persons Who Traveled the Furthest to Attend’. 😉
haha! that’s a marvelous idea! But I think Kara Isaac would win 😉
Quite true! New Zealand is going to be difficult to beat.
Well, I was born in South Africa, does that count? (long shot)
True, Carrie – however, I’m so looking forward to meeting Melony and every person at CFRR, whether from Australia or just down the street from the venue!!
I’ll be there and CANNOT WAIT!! 🙂 I registered as soon as I found out about this event and am super excited! My sweet friend (and amazing author) Debby Giusti is graciously giving me a ride from Atlanta (we’re also attending ACFW) and we’re arriving in time to attend this. Thank you Bonnie, Carrie, and Annie!! 🙂
And Becky Wade, so glad you’ll be there too!! 🙂
yay, Patti Jo! So excited to meet you! 🙂
Awesome, Patti Jo! I’m looking forward to chatting with you in person again. Our visit in St. Louis was all too quick!
Can’t wait to meet you and Debby, Patti Jo!! Carrie, Annie, and I are just as excited about CFRR as you!!
You guys are so amazing! Readers and authors unite!! And this team of planners is just a super bunch of ladies. I’m so thankful to get to be a part of this retreat because it hits right at the heart of what we do: we write stories for The glory of God and we write stories for readers 🙂 what a better way to celebrate than to get to hang out with each other while worshipping God! Super excited!
I couldn’t have said it better, Pepper. 🙂
I’m so tickled for it!! What a great way to celebrate readers! We NEVER get to do that in a group like this! I love the hearts and minds behind this fantastic idea!
Amen, Pepper!! So glad you are participating in CFRR – thank you!!
Can. Not. Wait. I bought my tickets as soon as I heard about this event. I live in a suburb of Nashville and was litrally giddy with excitment when I found out it was going to be held here.
ASIDE to Becky Wade: I am the “squealer” that has e-mailed you in the past, and am also the one that commented on your “Weird Things Writers Say” blog that Gray Fowler could come to my house when you needed to kick him out. To say I’m excited to meet you is an understatement. You may want to pack earplugs – or – put security on ‘stand-by’when a fangirl with a stunned look on her face who has suddendly become mute comes within a few feet of you. Honestly….it could go either way :-).
LOL, Amy!! I think it’s wonderful that the retreat will be held in your own backyard this year and that you’ve made plans to attend. How about I bring Gray as my security? He’s big. It’ll be good for him to experience what Dru’s job is all about. And he can provide eye candy for us all. 🙂
In all seriousness, I’m glad that we’ll have a chance to meet in person! See you there.
Guess Carrie, Annie and I are forewarned also, eh – Amy, LOL!! My guess is you won’t be the only one at CFRR squealing or with “deer in headlight stares” at CFRR, LOL!! So glad you will be able to attend.
I so wish I could go! I live in Texas plus my husband is a school teacher which means he will be teaching and unable to watch our 6 kids that we homeschool. And there just aren’t very many people willing to watch 6 kids for 3 days so I could travel there, attend, and then travel home. But maybe next year! It sounds like it will be an incredible experience!!!!
Yes, it certainly appears there are obstacles to your attending CFRR this year, Julie!! However, please pray about attending and don’t give up – we’re praying on this end for the needs of all those who have such obstacles, yet want to attend CFRR. God has continued to provide and bless, in numerous ways, since the very beginning of our plans for CFRR – plans have already fallen into place for several people to attend CFRR who didn’t initially think they would be able to overcome the obstacles to attend.
Becky, thank you so much for your support of, and participation in, CFRR – and thank you for featuring the retreat on your blog!! CFRR is so near and dear to our hearts – Annie, Carrie, and I are grateful to God for His guidance and provisions in the planning of CFRR, amazed at the number of wonderful Christian Fiction authors who are supporting CFRR – and thankful for the inspiration provided us through the writing gift He has given each of them!!
You’re welcome, Bonnie! I’m grateful to you ladies for putting action, effort, kindness, and time behind the idea that the Lord laid on your hearts.
Thank you for your gracious comments, Becky!!
I was making plans to go until I realized that 2 days after the retreat, there was a scrapbooking weekend at work that I’m in charge. So bummed we don’t get to go
Bummer! Hopefully, this will become an annual event, Becky. And, if the date/location is tied in future years to the American Christian Fiction Writers conference the way that it is this year, then the time of year and city will change in 2017. People who can’t attend this year, might be (fingers crossed) able to come next year.
So sorry, Becky Lee, but as I commented to Julie above – please don’t give up on CFRR yet. One never knows how plans may change, I’m saying a prayer on this end that you accomplish even more than thought possible re: the planning of the scrapbooking weekend and therefore able to attend CFRR and return to the scrapbooking weekend full of added joy and inspiration.
We definitely hope and pray CFRR becomes an annual event that will be held in different locations each year, enabling more readers to attend!!
