2015 will be the first year I’ll have two books releasing. In July, I’ll have a new book with a new-to-me publisher. The book is called Lady Maybe. The publisher is Berkley/Penguin in New York. I am enjoying working with a new team, but I am continuing to work with my beloved Bethany House as well. They are publishing my December release (The Painter’s Daughter), and I’ve recently signed a new contract with them, too. I’m so thankful for great publishing partners!
Lady Maybe is about a woman whose startling secrets lead her into unexpected danger and romance in Regency England. I can’t wait to see what readers think of it!
Here’s what one special lady wrote after reading an early draft:
“Just finished your riveting, heart-wrenching, wonderfully romantic, tender, & inspiring novel. A fabulous read.” –Marietta Terry
To gear up for the release, I’m giving away a few Advance Reading Copies. If you’re interested, enter here by 5/29/2015. (US mailing addresses only. Sorry Rosie! :)) Either way, I hope you will enjoy the new book when it comes out!

Is Berkley Penquin a Christian publisher? I only like to read books put out by Christian publishers. I’m not trying to be picky but that’s the type of books I’m most comfortable reading. I haven’t heard of these publishers before.
Julie Klassen says
Hi Shirley. Penguin publishes a lot of different genres. Lord willing, my books will reach new readers this way, as well as my current ones. We’ll see how it goes. 🙂

Lady Maybe sounds interesting (I love the title), but I’m especially interested in The Painter’s Daughter, since I am an artist myself. Can’t wait to hear more about that!
Best wishes on both books.

Thanks, Carrie Lynn. What sort of artist are you?
