Thank you, Becky, for letting me hijack your scheduled day! I hope all our American readers had a lovely Thanksgiving, and for everyone else, let’s all celebrate that it’s almost the weekend. Woo hoo!

I’m sure some of you are shopping today. I try to avoid stores on Black Friday whenever possible. Crowds and I don’t do well together, and I’m the worst at standing in a long line. On the few occasions I’ve attempted to shop on Black Friday, I’ve tucked a can of Coke and candy bars in my purse. Trust me, these emergency snacks are the only way I can get through shopping!

Whether you leave the house this weekend or not, you should take a little break. Indulge in some me-time. Grab your favorite hot beverage and a cookie or two and just relax. I love Vince Guaraldi’s music, so I will be playing “O Tannenbaum” as I chill out.

To help you get into the cozy Christmas mood, I’m offering a giveaway! My new Christian contemporary romance, Yuletide Redemption, released this week with Love Inspired. It’s my first Christmas book, and I adore the cover.

Christmas books always make me want to curl up with a soft blanket, sip hot cocoa, and sigh in contentment. I can’t give you a blanket, but I found the softest socks to include in the giveaway. They’re one-size fits all, and they’re super comfy. British symbols on candy tins always find a way into my home, so I’m including these yummy cherry drops. And isn’t the mini-tote bag adorable?

    • Lisa, YES!! We had a ladies’ advent reflection service at church last Sunday, and it really put me in the Christmas mood. Made me think about Jesus and why we celebrate. How blessed are we??

  26. Fun giveaway and I really look forward to reading this book! All of these Christmas books that have come out recently have really put me in the mood for Christmas. Now that Thanksgiving is over, we will listen to Christmas music and watch Christmas movies. We have at least 10 movies that we watch every year. And all of these wonderful Christmas books!!

    • Becky, I’m the same way! I love watching the same movies each year, and I also love finding new ones. I’m hoarding a few Christmas books to read as Christmas approaches!

    • Did someone say hot chocolate? Pam, I am right there with you! We live in northern Ohio, and I hope we get the white stuff for Christmas. We certainly get enough of it January-March!

    Watching Christmas movies, listening to Christmas songs and reading Christmas themed books all put me in the Christmas spirit. Add a cozy blanket and some hot chocolate and it’s perfect.
