Writers are a quirky bunch. We talk to imaginary people, dream up ways to torture characters we claim to love, and have been known on occasion to show up to work in our pajamas. We all have different ways of getting into the writing zone, too. Some create playlists for each book they write to set the mood. Others load up on coffee and dark chocolate. Me? I put on bookish socks.
Fun socks make me happy and put me in a positive frame of mind as I sit down to write, and over the years I’ve amassed a pretty good collection of book-themed footwear.
Books and tea are always a favorite of mine. And I adore the cute little bookworms!
Jane Austen even makes an occasional appearance.
I thought I would personally foot-model my cowboy socks for you. (You’re welcome for not blinding you with the white legs above the sock line. Thank goodness for crop capability!)
I even have a pair of knee-highs, but I don’t wear these very often for writing sessions. Unless it’s really cold in my office.

I love fun bookish socks! My zone is out on the porch where I can feel the sun, hear the birds, and look up into the trees. Cool temps are preferred, but even on a hot day I have been known to drag a fan outside by the citronella plant to cool off and discourage the mosquitoes.

I love to eat avocados and I have a collection of avocado socks. I even have some Christian ones.
I love avacados and would some avocado socks! Ha! I didn’t share them, but I have a bunch of other fun socks with things like tea bags, oreos, hippos, etc. My hubby enjoys stuffing stockings at Christmas with fun socks. 🙂

Oh! I love fun socks! My favorite pair has camels on them (a gift from my sister and a family joke). My mom used to always give me fun socks for various holidays.

I love fun socks. I love golden retrievers so I have socks with golden retrievers all over. I also have a doggie sock with glasses. But they are too small for me now so I just have them put away in my drawer. But I love fun socks to wear mainly in the cold winter months while I read books. Or also watch a Christmas movie.

So true! My hubby even has a collection of fun socks. Star Wars, waffles, and bicycles are a few of the themes in his sock drawer.

I love all your socks! So fun! I have a pair of Jane Austen knee highs that my husband got for me one Christmas. I often wear them in the winter when I have on jeans and tennis shoes!
Nice! I once spoke to a writers group wearing a knee-length denim skirt with my bookish knee highs. They probably thought I was dorky, but it was fun. 🙂

I love fun socks! Mostly I have holiday themed, like Christmas & Valentine’s Day. They also make the best gift! I know my sister and I have kept our dad’s sock drawer full of whimsical socks through the years!😂

Socks are a necessity in Colorado in the cool/cold months. Yes, cute socks are a bonus.

I have a tub-full of socks and 95% of them I consider “fun”. I don’t like boring socks and pretty much only wear the fun ones. Your selection of fun socks are really cute. I don’t think I have any book-themed socks or cowboy socks. Hmmm…pretty sure I should expand my wardrobe! 😉

I love all the bookish socks! I don’t have any fun ones, just lots of super soft ones to keep my toes warm. I wear them all year round, even in the summer. I don’t like cold toes. 🙂

I love fun socks. I have a collection of Yorkie socks, baseball socks, and bowling socks. I love to have my coffee next to me when I’m reading. I can’t handle the heat so I usually read inside in the air conditioning unless it’s a nice Fall day.

I need to get me some music socks. I bought my niece a pair of piano and music note socks for Christmas a few years ago, and I almost kept them for myself. Ha!
I have the knee high book socks as well. I also have music socks, instruments and cats with piano socks. I also like toe socks which I don’t wear often. I also have some chili peppers socks as well. However I am a weirdo. I only wear socks when I absolutely have to.
My husband is like you – he much prefers hanging out barefooted. Sounds like you have some cute sock options for when the mood strikes, though. 🙂

I have a few pairs I love to wear.
The 1st pair is some super soft socks with Sherpa on the inside that I love to wear on cold days.
The 2nd pair is a pair of colorful rainbow socks my husband bought me from the hospital gift shop when our first baby was born.
The 3rd pair that I love is actually my husbands ankle Alabama socks. I borrow those all the time because they are so comfortable and slightly bigger than my normal size but that’s what makes them so comfortable. I’m thankful that he doesn’t mind sharing those with me lol

I love your sock collection especially the cowboy one being I live in Texas. My favorite socks are my coffee ones and my pumpkin spice ones….it is getting to that season soon….although the weather here in Texas is not showing it with temps in the 100s

Although I don’t have any fun socks, I have several pair of fuzzy socks – the kind that have soft cotton material on the inside and at the top. I treasure a pair of slippers that my mother crocheted for me.

I don’t have fun socks like this but do have a couple of pairs of purple striped socks that I like to wear.

“Whooo reads?! I do!!” I like fun soxs … a physician commented on my soxs that I wore & then pulled up his pant leg to show the soxs he wore …a little fun in the midst of a Doctor’s appointment.

Those are all so neat. I think the bookworm socks are my favorite. I have plain ol’ white socks. Maybe I need to start getting myself some neat bookish socks. Very cool
