  1. SO excited about this book, Tammy!

Thank you for sharing this fascinating information with us–I’ve always loved how you weave actual history into your stories. And how special about your connection to the Lynchburg area. (I still think we’re somehow related through the Gattis family line!) 😉
    Hugs, Patti Jo

    1. We most certainly ARE, Patti Jo. We’re going to have to track that down sometime. I have our full Gattis ancestry, so when you have a minute, email me your connection and we’ll compare notes! Hugs, sweet second cousin!

    1. We always anticipate the first time of hearing a new narrator perform/read our upcoming release, but to see it in real time is also fun. I’m grateful Marnye shared a clip.

  2. Look forward to reading your new novel when it releases!

“Love & Whiskey” by Fawn Weaver (2024) is a good starting point about Jack Daniels and Nearest Green. You can find this biography at your local public library. I read and enjoyed a library copy of the book.

    1. I have not read that one, Elisa. I intentionally decided to stick with primary historical sources as I was writing In These Hills. The Lynchburg historians and curators were so incredibly helpful.

  3. I am looking forward to reading your new book! My Grandmother, Great-Grandfather, and Great-Grandmother were from Shelbyville, TN. How neat that our families originated from the same areas!
