Fun Book News

April 23, 2024 By Julie Klassen

A short and sweet post for today. I just want to share some good news. Last week I signed a contract with Bethany House Publishers for four more Regency-era novels. I’m excited!

Past contracts have been in paper form, and I would pose while my husband dutifully took a signing photo. Nowadays, the contracts come by email and are signed with a few clicks online. To be honest, I was still in my jammies and glasses when I digitally signed this one, and didn’t even think about a photo until it was too late.

Photo or no, I am sincerely grateful for my publisher’s support and happy for the opportunity to keep writing novels for them—and for my readers.

That’s it for today. But if you happen to be reading this while still in your jammies, please let me know in the comments so I feel better. 🙂 Thank you!

Still in jammies here while the rest of the house sleeps. For even more clarity, my oldest (3) asked me the other day, why I always wear them. So apparently I’m always in jammies. Ha! Congratulations on the signing! Pre-coffee or not!

Sorry, not today, but I have spent hours in my PJs. My daughter recently spent a week in PJs, (changing into different ones!) But having brain surgery can excuse her eccentricities. Besides if you are stuck in the house or just feel like it; who cares what “Those People” think. Authors have the great inspiration to be different and that’s Okay!

Cheers to you, my fellow jammied friend, with my coffee! ☕️ On my days off from school, I’m often in my jammies into the afternoon. 😌 And, of course, Pajama Days at school are a favorite for the kids and staff!😍 Obviously wearing jammies, as you write for us, works well. So, keep them on please! 🧑‍💻
