A short and sweet post for today. I just want to share some good news. Last week I signed a contract with Bethany House Publishers for four more Regency-era novels. I’m excited!

Past contracts have been in paper form, and I would pose while my husband dutifully took a signing photo. Nowadays, the contracts come by email and are signed with a few clicks online. To be honest, I was still in my jammies and glasses when I digitally signed this one, and didn’t even think about a photo until it was too late.

Photo or no, I am sincerely grateful for my publisher’s support and happy for the opportunity to keep writing novels for them—and for my readers.
That’s it for today. But if you happen to be reading this while still in your jammies, please let me know in the comments so I feel better. 🙂 Thank you!

Still in jammies here while the rest of the house sleeps. For even more clarity, my oldest (3) asked me the other day, why I always wear them. So apparently I’m always in jammies. Ha! Congratulations on the signing! Pre-coffee or not!
Sounds like we have a lot in common, Anna! 🙂
Congratulations, Julie! And yep, I’m still in my jammies. It IS 5 a.m. though, so I don’t feel too guilty. 😉
Thank you, Deb, you early bird!
Congratulations, Julie!
Thank you, Kelly!
Reporting for duty in jammies from Cleveland! Congrats on your new contract!
Thanks for reporting in, Teri. Love it!
Yay!! I’m so excited! Congratulations! Unfortunately, I am not in my jammies… Today is a work from the office day and so that’s frowned upon. HA!
Hi Joy. Yes, I can imagine jammies are not typical office attire. Have a good day!
Congratulations! That is so great, love your books. Writing this in jammie solidarity lol 😂
Woot! Thank you HJ!
Absolutely in jammies! Congratulations and blessings on your words.
Thank you, Janice! Well done.
Not in my jammies, but sure wish I was! Congrats!
Thanks, Yvonne. Sorry about the lack of jammies. 😉
I am still in my jammies as I read this.
Well done. Thank you, Sandy!
I’m happy we have more books from you to look forward to, Julie!
Thank you, Cathy.
So excited for more of your books! And yes, I’m a jammies girl. I get my best work done that way! 🙂
Me, too! Thanks, D’Ann.
Congratulations! So happy to hear this.
Unfortunately, I have been dressed since 6:15 to take my granddaughter to high school!
Good job, Betty. Your granddaughter is blessed to have you!
In my gown and robe with short socks reading this great news! Congrats Julie! I woke up at 4:30, up 10 minutes later making coffee.
Congratulations! The new books will be awesome, just like all your previous ones have been! I am not (sadly) still in jammies this morning, but I am still enjoying my morning tea, so that will have to do for today. 🙂
It’s 9:54 at my house and I’m still in my gown, if that counts. I’m glad you’re continuing o write these Regencies for us because they give me great reading…jammies/gown or not.
Congratulations, Julie!! 🙂
Staying in your PJs is a perk of being a writer (at home), so no worries. 😉
Looking forward to your new books!
Blessings, Patti Jo
Julie, I’m not in my jammies, but I absolutely thrilled to know you will be writing more wonderful books. Congratulations!!
Congratulations!! Yay more reads that I know I will be reading.
I am still in my jammies and it’s almost noon. Time to get dressed. I am in Georgia and retired. And sometimes lazy. lol.
Wonderful! I am already looking forward to these fun reads!
In retirement Jammie dress in the morning is expected so here I am.
Such happy news! Congrats, Julie!
Great news and great way to start a morning. Congratulations, I can’t wait!
Congratulations Julie!
I’ve been making my way through your back list , I’m read The Girl In The Gatehouse and loving it.
Sorry, not today, but I have spent hours in my PJs. My daughter recently spent a week in PJs, (changing into different ones!) But having brain surgery can excuse her eccentricities. Besides if you are stuck in the house or just feel like it; who cares what “Those People” think. Authors have the great inspiration to be different and that’s Okay!
Congrats, Julie! So glad to hear this good news. I always read your blog in the evening after chores are done and I can be a couch potato. So yes, I’m in my jammies, too!
I’m in my robe this morning and so excited about your new book. I’m currently reading “The Sisters of Sea View.” 😊
Huzzah! More books for our reading piles! 🙂
Excellent news!
I love the sisters of sea view series and will be sad when their stories are finished but excited for what you will create next.
So excited for you and for us readers, Julie! Great to hear – at least 4 more books, then.
I am not in my jammies as it is later in the day, but still excited to read this.

Cheers to you, my fellow jammied friend, with my coffee! ☕️ On my days off from school, I’m often in my jammies into the afternoon. 😌 And, of course, Pajama Days at school are a favorite for the kids and staff!😍 Obviously wearing jammies, as you write for us, works well. So, keep them on please! 🧑💻
