My husband and I have been startled to realize how many outstanding Christian leaders have gone to heaven recently–and they weren’t all old: Charlie Kirk, James Dobson, John MacArthur, Vodie Baucham . . . so many!
We need to pray that God raises up others to speak the truth, to speak God’s Word, and to be faithful to pick up the shield of faith and a megaphone.
Just in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s death alone, I have seen so many reels on Facebook, and read so many posts from believers who are saying that they will remain silent no more . . . and subtle no more. This isn’t a time for subtlety. It’s a time for speaking when given an opportunity, and telling the truth in plain terms.
As I writer, I’m feeling the urge to write more “on the nose” because I believe we are in the last days and time is fleeting. The evil one knows his time is limited, so the attacks are fierce, but so is our Defender.
Antisemitism is on the rise, and it’s coming from some surprising folks–people who profess to be Christians, but are spouting hate for God’s chosen people; the apple of His eye. Don’t listen to that evil. It’s demonic, it has persisted through the ages, and it is being revived today.
Why is God calling so many of His leaders home? Perhaps it is so we who have allowed them to carry the load will carry it ourselves.

I will leave you with Ephesians 6: 10-18:
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.

Amen, amen! Wonderful post.
AMEN!!! THANK YOU.
Thank you, Carla. These are interesting times, no?
Great post, Angie. I’m studying the book of Daniel at the moment, and in Chapter 8, there’s the horn that tries to destroy the Jewish people. Antiochas IV Epiphanes wanted to wipe the Jews off the face of the earth. And I couldn’t help thinking how that type of hate has prevailed down through the ages. I kind of expect it from those who don’t know the love of Jesus, but I am shocked when those who profess Christ spew it. May we boldly speak and write the truth and grace of our Lord for as long as we live.
Thanks, Robin. It is amazing what is happening. Not only Antioch’s Epiphanes, but Haman, and Hitler, and Herod . . . goodness, what’s with all the H names? We have to keep praying and speaking, sister!
Thank you for sharing this! I think the Spirit has this exact idea on the hearts of so many of us at this time. Like Esther, I hope we will all step up to the plate for such a time as this. Thank you for the encouragement!
Amen, Sarah!
Amen to everything you said, Angie. It is heartbreaking to see these heroes of the faith leave an earth that needs people like them so badly, but I trust God will raise up new voices to sing His praises and lead us in ways that bring glory to His name.
Yes, Deb. Amen.
Great post. Thank you. Very well said! Amen.
Thank you, Carole!
I am currently participating in an on-line BSF study of Daniel & Esther.
“For such a time as this!”
Amen!
AMEN, Angie!! Thank you for sharing this, and I agree wholeheartedly with you.
Satan and his demons aren’t taking a break, and neither should we. There’s much
work for us to do on this earth. May we all boldly proclaim the Truth!
Hugs, Patti Jo
