A writer wears so many hats. Author. Marketer. Another job — Maybe. Family. Friend. And so much more. One of the things I’ve really been thinking about this last few weeks is how to more effectively connect with readers.
I read. A lot. I write. A lot. And I love to discuss books. All of us here do. That’s why we’re here 🙂 I’m also really curious. I’m always reading books on all kinds of topics. So that means when I dive into something, it tends to nag at me until I devise a plan to implement. I blame the 3, Type A in me.
But as I’ve been thinking about where to invest my time, I thought…wait a minute. I don’t need to wonder what to do. I can ask!
So I’d consider it a kind favor to this author if you’d take less than two minutes (I promise that’s how long Survey Monkey said it would take) to answer a few short questions. A few clicks could help me as I’m planning. Grazie mille! Muchas Gracias. Merci!

This survey is a great idea. I love books in any format, though I prefer to actually read them. I’ve had to move to audio if I want to “read” at all due to my active and extremely full schedule. That’s also the draw of blogs such as this – quick and easy to read. I love connecting over books and often blog about favorites on my website. I also send them to my friends when I finish with them. Thanks for all you do.

Thanks, Rebecca. I’m so glad you liked it. And I always enjoy taking them, so I hope you do, too! Thanks so much for letting me know what you love…I’ve made the switch to lots of audio for the same reason. Primarily in the car though.

Great survey! I never thought I would read ebooks as I love the feel of the paper of an actual book in my hands. But, on vacation ebooks are so convenient (as I can have multiple books stored on my phone) and I can read in the dark. I worked on painting my house this summer, so audiobooks were my go to (and I didn’t paint any of the “pages”). They’re also great to listen to in the car on said vacation. 🙂

I was the same way, Jennifer. I read them out of necessity and convenience, but still crave paper.

Interesting questions! I have never, ever listen to an audio book. As far as ebooks go, I don’t own an ereader. So, it’s paperback all the for me. I did find out a few days ago that I could download books and they’d be loaded to my computer. *All this time of having a computer and I never knew. I’d love to listen to an audio but haven’t gotten one yet. I might try the library first.
Cara, I really love your books!

Thanks, Beverly! There are a couple apps that make it really easy to download audiobooks onto your phone or computer if you have a library card. Check and see if your library has Hoopla or Libby.
