My husband loves Fall. Mainly because the air turns crisp and fresh and football is just around the corner. He’s not big sports fan but he does love his Atlanta Falcons and University of Georgia games. He also likes not sweating as much.
I fell in love with him in the fall. Even though we’d known each other most of our lives, he was an Army brat so he moved and came home to Georgia a couple of times. The last time, we were in high school and I saw him walking across the campus, leaves falling around him. He wore a corduroy jacket and jeans and I told my friend “That’s the man I’m gonna marry.” She laughed but I just smiled.
So I love fall, too. Spring is my favorite season but there is a lot to be said about bringing in the harvest and settling down for winter. A time of quietness and cuddling by a fire, roasting marshmallows and eating too many s’mores and cheering on your favorite team. So on that note, I thought it would be nice to share some of my favorite fall picture, both from a book cover years back to traveling in the cold fall on a road trip. I hope these photos will get you in the mood for fall. Because soon it will be winter and we’ll want to see spring again!
I like to display this on my table 🙂
One of my favorite fall covers 🙂

I think these two were in Arkansas.

Now that I think about it, I fell in love with my husband in the fall, too. It’s my favorite season! After our blistering Texas summers the cooler temperatures of fall are always incredibly welcome.

That’s so true, Becky. The Southern humidity gets a brief reprieve in the fall. It’s a special time to enjoy nature. Here in Florida, we don’t get as much of the turning leaves. But we take long drive upland on back roads and find some beautiful spots.

I always dread the first hard frost but once that is over bring on crisp days and good sleeping cool nights.
Lenora says
Yes, those are the best nights. You can actually snuggle under the covers and not have a hot flash!

Some people do that, Carrie. Not everyone loves summer!

I enjoyed your photos, Elnora! 🙂
And Fall is my VERY favorite season of all (even though there are good things about each season). The cooler temps, gorgeous leaves, and pumpkins are my top favorites in the Fall.
I’m still giggling about your “hot flash” comment above, hehehe… 😉
Hugs, Patti Jo

Hi, Patti Jo. I have to admit, I’m ready for fall this year. I keep getting catalogs with lovely boots to tempt me. And pumpkin pie. Love that, too!

Thanks, Tamera. That was one of the prettiest spots I’ve ever seen. It’s like a path right to heaven. 🙂
