It’s coming soon! The Targeted and a Special Launch Box (and Giveaway)

In my day job I love working with independent bookstores. I also love working with women-owned independent bookstores. One of my absolute favorites is Naughty Dog Books in Nashville, Indiana. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend stopping there. You’ll love wandering through this former bank.

It is charming, filled with great books, and just thoughtfully curated.

Naughty Dog has hosted me for a booksigning and I knew that they did subscription boxes. Several months ago, I began talking to them about the possibility of having a subscription box of sorts for The Targeted. I could squeal — because I am so excited to share that the staff is curating a box for my book. They’ve shown me a couple of the items they are considering, and I am so excited. This will be such a special way to experience the book.

Go check out Naughty Dog Books and the Targeted Gift Box. I’d love to have you support a wonderful independent bookstore in this way.

I’m also trying not to be stunned that the release day for The Targeted is seven weeks away. That’s a shocking thought to me. It’s been so far away for so long that it’s hard to believe that now, it’s actually here.

I’ve told many people this book was one of the hardest I’ve ever written, but I also think it’s one of the most important I’ve written, too.

That’s why all of April, I’m running a pre-release giveaway. I want to celebrate the amazing miracle that I have another book releasing. There were days this last year that I wondered if this might be my last book. It was a hard fall that didn’t leave much space for creative energy. I feel that coming back — writing 37,000 words in five days over spring break will do that to a person! So I want to celebrate the coming release and the opportunity to share The Targeted with you all. You can find links to many retailers if you want to preorder it here. But there are so many other ways you can help spread the word.

• Marking the book on your Want to Read shelf on Goodreads is huge! It really helps discoverability.
• Following me on Bookbub. You’ll get alerts when there’s a new book or a sale.
• Following me on Amazon. You’ll get automatic emails when I have a new book releasing.
• Ask your library to order The Targeted.
• Post on your socials about the book. Each and every one of these makes a difference.
