It’s Fall, Y’all (plus, a free e-book!)

November 9, 2020 By Deborah Raney

We’ve had such a gorgeous fall here in Southeast Missouri. I thought I’d share some photos from our evening walks and bike rides. Our week of sunshine has made for some glorious colors!

[And be sure to scroll to the end of this post for how to download your free e-book copy of my novel A Scarlet Cord!]

Sunrise on the Mighty Mississippi is the epitome of fall color!
Is it still autumn where you live?

And before you leave, if you follow me on BookBub, you’ll be getting notification that my novel A Scarlet Cord is FREE to download as an e-book today! I hope you’ll grab your copy and tell a friend!

Deborah Raney

DEBORAH RANEY's first novel, A Vow to Cherish, inspired the World Wide Pictures film of the same title and launched Deb’s writing career. Forty books later, she's still creating stories that touch hearts and lives. Her novels have won RWA's RITA Award, the ACFW Carol Award, the National Readers Choice Award, and the HOLT Medallion. She is also a three-time Christy Award finalist. Deb is on faculty for several national writers’ conferences and served on the executive board of the 2,500-member American Christian Fiction Writers organization for 18 years before retiring in 2022. She is a recent transplant to Missouri, having moved with her husband, Ken Raney, from their native Kansas to be closer to kids and grandkids. They love road trips, e-biking, Friday garage sale dates, and breakfast on the screened porch overlooking their wooded backyard.

Beautiful fall foliage! I already have this book but I’ll be sure to let my sister know. She’s always asking me what to read next!

Gorgeous pictures! Looks like you have some great places to walk. We had early freezes that killed most of the trees’ leaves that should show color…but we found one spot on Saturday where the trees must have been in a zone of not freezing. So beautiful! We were there taking photos for school and Christmas. So refreshing. Thanks for the book!

Isn’t it interesting how different areas have more color? Our backyard doesn’t have much color and most of the leaves are gone, but just up the street and in nearby towns the colors are ablaze!

Fall colors! I am in awe of the reds, oranges and yellow colors of autumn. Here in Northern Indiana we are having a beautiful fall. It’s my third fall in Indiana. Your pictures are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing. Our Creator is a magnificent painter. 👏👏❤️ My dog and I walk the neighborhood trails; she and I enjoy the walks: she sniffs and pees everywhere 😉 and I worship my Lord and Savior for His mercies that are new every morning. 🙌

I enjoyed your Fall pics! Fall is my favorite time of year. I love the colors, the crispness in the air, & the cooling of temps. Our colors weren’t quite as vivid here in SW Missouri this year, so thanks for sharing yours. 🙂

    Beautiful pictures!

Yes, it’s still fall in Virginia Beach – night lows of 45 and daytime highs of 72.

That’s about the same weather we’re having, Betty.

Love – LOVE – Love the photos and the wonderful colors. We got an early snow storm and cold snap in Eastern Washington and had to give our usually brilliant fall colors a pass – everything turned brown overnight. Thanks for sharing yours with us. And, by the way, the book is also free for Kindle from Amazon – thought you’d like to know. I just downloaded!!

How sad that your autumn didn’t materialize. Always so disappointing in years when that happens. (Though I will say, I’d LOVE to get a good snow this winter. Just one! 😊 It’s been so long since I’ve seen a really wonderful heavy snow!)

I’ll box mine and send it to you – we’re told we can expect a “wetter than normal” winter. 😉
