I’ve had the honor of interviewing most of my prior cover models and I’m so thankful to Abby, Sweet on You’s cover model, for allowing me to continue the tradition. Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions, Abby!

Tell me about yourself!
My name is Abby, I am 18 years old and I’m from Saint Michael, Minnesota. I live with my parents and two sisters, and my dog named Lacey. I’m currently a senior in high school, but I also work as a receptionist at a hair salon.
What are your hobbies?
On my free time I love spending time with my friends and family. I also love fashion and shopping, and in the summer I am almost always at the beach! Modeling is something I’ve always been very interested in, and I am so excited to have the opportunity to do things like this. I hope to continue modeling in the future!
How did you become the cover model for Sweet on You?
I am represented by Moore Creative Talent. Last July I received an email from them that I had been seen on their website and chosen to be the model for a book cover. I was super excited! I received more information about the book in the weeks following, and I couldn’t wait for the shoot!
When you think back to the day of the cover shoot, what memories stick out?
When I showed up at the site of the shoot I was so excited. I remember going inside and everyone there working on set was so nice! I absolutely loved my hair and makeup. The photographer showed me some of the pictures he had taken and it made me even more excited! I will never forget how much fun that day was.
Did anything particularly funny happen the day of the shoot?
There is one memory that definitely stands out to me as funny from the day. For part of the shoot we were out side and it was so hot and sunny! All of the sudden, someone that lived across the street came outside and started taking videos and pictures of us shooting. It was a little uncomfortable at the time, but now looking back I always laugh about it.
What do you think of the finished cover?
I absolutely LOVE the cover! When I first saw it I couldn’t help but smile. All the bright colors and the flowers are so beautiful! I can’t wait to have a copy of the book. It’s something I’m very happy and proud I had the opportunity to be apart of!

Do you love adventure sports?
I am not a very athletic person at all, and I’m not involved in any sports. So I’m not super interested in adventure sports.
Do you have a male best friend you’ve known since high school?
I am still in high school now, but I do not have a male best friend.
Are you the youngest sibling in your family?
I am actually the middle child. I have and older sister who is 21 and a younger sister who is 15.
Are you passionate about chocolate?
I am definitely a chocolate lover, but I have never made my own. However, I think it would be an interesting thing to try.
When at a restaurant do you sometimes exchange seats after sitting down because the first seat had bad mojo?
My dad has requested a different table at restaurants in order to see a game on the TV while my family is out to eat, but I’ve never requested to move because of bad mojo.
Do you consider yourself to be extraordinarily independent?
This one I definitely can relate to! I have always been super independent and love doing things on my own. My mom has told me stories about how even when I was very little and learning to walk I would push everyone away and want to do it on my own.

The writing of this book definitely inspired a fair amount of chocolate consumption and I’m expecting the reading of this book to have the same effect. It should come with a warning. DO NOT READ UNLESS PANTRY STOCKED WITH CHOCOLATE. 😉
