Movies Based on Christian Novels

November 26, 2021 By Becky Wade

Holiday season is movie-watching season! I’ve been so encouraged, the past few years, to see more and more movies based on Christian novels being produced and released.

Here are a few recent ones. . . .

A December Bride is based on Denise Hunter’s novella of the same name. So far, three of Denise’s contemporary romances have served as the inspiration for movies, which you can read about here.

Finding You was adapted for the screen from Jenny B. Jones’ book There You’ll Find Me. It released in theaters this past spring and is now streaming on Amazon Prime.

Rachel Hauck’s royal romance, Once Upon a Prince, became a movie with the same title.

Finding Love in Big Sky, which will be made available in the USA soon, was inspired by the novel of the same name by Angela Ruth Strong.

Francine Rivers’ famous novel, Redeeming Love, is about to make the transition to the big screen in January!

I’d love to hear about other movies and TV shows inspired by Christian fiction that you enjoyed!

Before I go, I wanted to tell you about a festive “Bookie Exchange” that will be taking place over the coming month. Participate by visiting the listed authors on the assigned days for individual giveaways + enter the grand prize giveaway!

I love Christmas movies and will be looking for these. Also, I read Redeeming Love a number of years ago and was totally engaged. Hope the movie is as good.

Happy Thanksgiving! I loved your family picture.

I watched “Once Upon A Prince” on DVD from the library. It’s a sweet watch. I’d read and recommend the complete “Royal Wedding” series.
Of interest, Susanna and Nathaniel and others in the “Royal Wedding” series have a small appearance or mention in the “True Blue Royal” series!

It’s fun when characters from one series make an appearance in another!

Saw FINDING YOU in the theater when it first released and I LOVED it! But haven’t seen the others! Just added a whole bunch to my watch list! Thanks, Becky!
