  2. What a lovely tribute to your earthly father! He was, quite obviously, an excellent father to you! Love and hugs and prayers as you continue to miss him!

  3. I wish I could have been there in person to support you and the family. But, schedules just did not permit. However, reading this is soothing to my soul. You are so richly blessed with their heritage. And, the heritage you and Joe are giving Kurt and Kelsey is also priceless. How the world would be better if everyone had that opportunity. Let it be an inspiration and challenge to all of us. Hugs!

  7. Dear Tamara,
How my heart breaks for you all.
For I have been where you are.
As you know, my Mom had Alzheimer’s.
I don’t wish her back, but I miss her each and everyday.
My prayers will be with you and your family.

    1. Such true words, Janet, about us not wishing them back into that cruel dementia mind and body. And about missing them so much. I’m praying for you too, friend, and am so grateful we have such a firm hope in Christ! Makes all the difference in this world. And the next!

  8. What a lovely tribute about this child of God.
Blessings to all of you as you navigate this passing.

  11. I’ve been praying for you and your family. Your sweet tribute to your dad brought tears to my eyes and some conviction to my heart. Thank you for sharing him with us. Hugs!

  12. So beautiful, Tammy. Big tears when I read the part about you asking Alexa to “drop in Pa.” I remember so vividly wishing, after my mom died, that I could just call her one more time. But even if it were possible, she would have directed me to Hebrews as well. In fact, we played that Steve Green song “Find Us Faithful” that talks about that great cloud of witnesses at her funeral.

Your tribute to your dad is a testament to the life he lived and the God he served. You are blessed to have had your wonderful parents and I know you were a great blessing to them too. Love you, friend.

  13. I’m so sorry for your loss, but I’m so very encouraged by your strong faith in God. I adore the wonderful lessons you’ve shared. My dad, who was like my superhero here on earth, was killed in a car crash just this past January. Knowing how much he loves Jesus, knowing I will see him in Heaven one day, and sticking strongly to God and His Word are the only things keeping me ok through my dad’s shocking passing. Thank you for sharing your eulogy. It really encouraged me. Again, I’m so sorry for your loss.

    1. Oh Nicole, I’m so sorry for your loss, friend, and so sudden and unexpected a loss too. I’m covering you in prayer and asking God to meet your every need in Christ. And you’re right, faith in Christ and in his eternal promises make all the difference. I look forward to meeting your “superhero dad” (love that!) when I get Home. Peace and comfort to you. . .
