I’m thrilled to announce the arrival of a brand new medieval YA series, The Lost Princesses!
To kick off the series, you won’t want to miss ALWAYS, a prequel novella, that sets the stage for the three full length novels that follow (and are releasing this fall 2019).

I can already hear some of you saying that you don’t like novellas, that they’re too short and the stories always feel incomplete or rushed. Yes, it IS challenging for authors to fit a full and fulfilling story into a shorter novel. But I hope you won’t miss out on this novella because it provides important backstory for the books to come.
As one reviewer said: “This story may be short, but it packs an impressive punch! Jody Hedlund has woven a dynamic story with endearing characters that will have you holding your breath and rapidly turning pages for more!”

I can also hear some of you saying that you don’t like YA (Young Adult) novels, that they’re not deep enough or have immature characters. Yes, often YA characters are a bit younger, the action is a bit more intense, and the romance a bit sweeter. But I’ve had non-teen readers telling me that they’ve loved the series just as much as my adult books.
As another reviewer said: “I am a longtime fan of Author Jody Hedlund, and I can’t believe I had never read one of the books in her Young Adult genre. I realize after enjoying Always I have been missing some excellent reading.”

Unlike my previous series (Noble Knights), the Lost Princesses leans more toward fairy tale than historical. So if, like me, you love princess fairy tales set in medieval times, then this series might be right for you!

Cinderella was one of my favorites!
I love fairy tales, too. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite because of its message. Also, I visited the castle in Austria where the tale began.
I love fairy tales. Cinderella has always been my favorite. I’m really looking forward to reading this series!
I love fairy tales! Cinderella will always be my favorite as far as original and in book form. But, I do love The Princess Diaries movies. 🙂
I just finished this novella last night and WOW! I am so glad I only have to wait until Tuesday for the first full length novel! This one starts with action and doesn’t stop! I am already hooked! For those who balk at trying YA, I don’t think you’re reading the right YA – definitely give this one a try.
I love fairy tales! Beauty and the Beast is my favorite. 😀
I love fairy tales! Cinderella is one of my favs.
I do enjoy fairy tales! My favorite would probably Cinderella or Rapunzel.
I’m excited for your new series, Jody! Can’t wait to get started!
Drat, posted before I got to say… I love fairy tales, especially woven into historical or semi-historical settings. The Wild Swans is one of the most intriguing to me, but I also love how many variations of Cinderella you can find in so many different countries. Not sure if I have a favorite fairy tale overall, but I love digging into many versions of old classics!
I enjoyed the book, even though I’m not much into fairy tales. I think we can learn from all kinds of books. I feel I can always count on Jody Hedlund to weave those life lessons into her stories. They entertain but go deeper.
I love fairy tales especially Rapunzel or Beauty and the Beast. Thank you for sharing. Blessings!

I have not read any of your YA books but this one is drawing me in! It’s going on my TBR list! Thanks for the giveaway!!
I do enjoy fairy tales especially when they take one of the older themes and make it today relevant.
Love Beauty and the Beast because it speaks of looking beyond the visible and to look for the true beauty within. It’s a lesson we should all take to heart.
This series looks so charming, Jody! Congratulations on the release of Always!
I love Snow White and her sweet nature!
Who doesn’t love a ‘happily ever after’ that fairy tales provide? Excited about your new series and appreciate the giveaway.
I love fairy tales! I’m pretty much a sucker for them, whether it’s a beautifully illustrated children’s book, a retelling, the classic with non-Disney details (Little Mermaid felt like she danced on knives, Cinderella’s sisters cut off parts of their feet to fit into the glass slipper, etc.) or even the Disney version, I love them all. I’m looking forward to checking out this new series (and Noble Knights, because I apparently didn’t look hard enough before to find that series, which sounds right up my alley)!
I don’t care for fairy tales.
I love fairytales. I think they can teach us a lot about life in a way normal stories may not be able to. I’ve always liked Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast.
I absolutely love jody’s Stories! Hands down they are the best!
Ps I love sleeping beauty and I shared on facebook!
I can’t wait to read these books! I enjoyed your Noble Knight series so much, and I was thrilled to hear you were writing a new YA series!

I love fairytales, but I really like to read fairytale retellings. I don’t have a favorite fairytale
Congrats on your new YA series! Amazon is showing Kindle version for the full length novels at the moment. Will print versions be released?
I enjoyed the “Noble Knights” series too! Note to readers looking to read/buy this series–Amazon shows it as “An Uncertain Choice” series. (It’s based on the title of the 1st novel) Still the same series just the naming is different!
I love fairy tales. Cinderella has been a favorite since before I can remember!
I still love Cinderella. Good vs. Evil, the nice girl wins in the end, and who wouldn’t love Prince Charming…I mean a man who will travel the ends of the earth trying a shoe on any and every foot just to find the one he loves? Yep, he’s the man.
Yay for you! Congratulations on the new books coming out. Wow. I do love fairy tales. I prefer them with happy endings, though I see why some authors enjoy messing with the formula and creating dire endings. I don’t really have a favorite, I just enjoy them. 🙂
Beauty and the beast is a favorite of mine
Loooove fairy tales! My favorite was always Beauty and the Beast. Can’t wait to read this one!
I adore Beauty and the Beast retellings! Shared the giveaway on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest!

Cinderella and Beauty and The Beast
I like Cinderella. She was treated badly after being orphaned, but she wasn’t bitter.
I love fairytales! My long-time favorite is Beauty and the Beast because I love how Belle sees the Beast for who he truly is–and that is true love! Thanks for the giveaway!
I absolutely love Beauty and the Beast! I shared all across social media and pinterest. Thank you for the chance.
I am not a fan. Although I have read fairytales, I do not enjoy them.
I like fairy tales. Not sure what my favorite is.
I have always loved fairytales, taught a unit when I was a 5th grade teacher for 23 years, and have been enjoying them with my grandchildren. I have really enjoyed the Disney live action releases in recent years – Aladdin this year. While I don’t really have a favorite, I particularly liked Beauty, Robin McKinley’s retelling. Another version of Beauty and the Beast is a childhood favorite, East of the Sun West of the Moon. Hundreds of Cinderella stories exist, including a Native American version called The Rough-faced Girl. Looking forward to this series.
I love fairy-tales, especially Rapunzel!
Beauty and the Beast is my favorite! I shared this post on both Pinterest and Facebook.
I love fairytales. Cinderella has been my favorite. Also, in historical fiction, my favorite has always been the medieval time period. I’m not sure if it’s the knights in shining armor or damsels in distress. Maybe it’s just that particular troop that I enjoy.
My favorite is Cinderella.
I LOVE fairytales! I was so excited when I found Melanie Dickenson’s Hagenheim fairytales. A mix of fairytale and history…sigh! Which me so, so excited to learn that you are writing some!
Cinderella is my all time favorite and I love Anastasia, but I enjoy all of them.
So excited to read Always!

Peter pan, beauty and the beast.. are awesome. I like them some times
I would love a chance to read your novella! I think my favorite fairy tale is Cinderella. I like that it a very possible for a real life situation. The fairy godmother could be just a generous person instead of using magic.
Ps. I just finished The Reluctant Bride 👰! Amazing and loved it!!! Left review on Amazon and Goodreads!
I’ve loved the books I have read by you so far and have a few more sitting here at home waiting to be read. I can’t wait to read this new series!
