New Book: Who I Am with You

December 15, 2018 By Robin Lee Hatcher

It’s here at last! The release of Who I Am with You. I have been eagerly awaiting this day for what seems forever.

In 2017, after turning in the manuscript for You’re Gonna Love Me, I was reading my long-used (over 20 years), well-loved Bible which is full of highlights as well as notes and dates in the margins. Suddenly I wondered what this Bible might mean to members of my family after I’m gone. Will one of my daughters or grandchildren or as-yet-to-come great-grandchildren one day leaf through this book and hear God speaking to them because of something I wrote or marked within these leather covers? This sparked the idea for a new series, Legacy of Faith, where an ancestor’s Bible will touch the lives of those who never knew him.

In Who I Am with You, you’ll meet Jessica Mason and Ridley Chesterfield in a small mountain town in contemporary Idaho. You will also meet Jessica’s great-grandfather, Andrew Henning, and his family during the time of the Great Depression. Andrew’s Bible, passed down to Jessica through her grandmother, plays a part in helping Jessica open her heart to love again. (You can read the blurb here.)

About the book, Publishers Weekly says: “Hatcher sweetly explores the ways hardship and unfaithfulness can lead to love through the healing powers of forgiveness … Hatcher’s moving novel is rich in healing and hope, and realistically portrays the tough introspection that sometimes comes with being hurt.”

Booklist says: “The characters are authentic, the butterflies of anticipation are persistent, and the protagonists’ deferred attraction is thrillingly palpable; you cannot help but hold your breath until they realize it, too.”
And NYT bestselling author Courtney Walsh says: “Tender and heart-warming, Robin Lee Hatcher’s Who I Am with You is a faith-filled story about the power of forgiveness, second chances and unconditional love. A true delight for lovers of romantic inspirational fiction, this story will not only make you swoon, it will remind you of God’s goodness and grace.”

Early 5 star reviews from readers and bloggers include praise such as:

  • “It’s been awhile since a story has made me cry. And by cry, I mean sob. I love a story that makes me feel strongly.”
  • “A beautifully told second-chance story. I can’t wait for the rest of this series.”
  • “I thought I would read quickly through the older time period and focus more on the modern storyline. Boy, was I wrong! I was drawn into BOTH time periods equally.”

Who I Am with You is available in paperback, ebook, and audiobook. You can find links to a number of retailers on my website or check with your favorite local bookstore. If they don’t have it yet, they can order it.

I hope you’ll enjoy reading Who I Am with You.
