While I love writing, I’m a reader first. I love finding new-to-me authors that allow me to binge through their books, so I’m always on the look our for new books to try.
Are you the same way? Do you have your trusted authors that you read everything they write? But let’s face it, authors are slow! Crafting those wonderful story worlds and characters takes time. So you’re looking for new-to-you authors?
In an effort to help readers find new authors, I’ve started a Facebook Live series on Tuesday evenings at 8:30 EST. Can’t make it? No worries! I capture them on Facebook and Instagram TV. So far I’ve chatted with four wonderful authors, and I’ve got a great line-up coming through the end of April including some of the wonderful women in this group. So far, I’m talking with my favorites — y’all, it’s so much fun! You are welcome to join us or catch up by watching them later. Here are the next three weeks lovely authors. See why I’m excited!
You can click on the following links if you want to sign up for an event so you get reminders from Facebook: Rachel Hauck, Sarah Sundin, and Becky Wade. If you’d like to check out the earlier chats, there are links below!
Bethany Turner Chat; Toni Shiloh Chat; Rachel McDaniel Chat; Janine Rosche Chat.
I’ve also been up to some spring cleaning. I want to share a bounty of duplicate books with you. You can use the form below to enter!

Your chats have been great! So far, I’ve read all of the authors you’ve had on, but that just makes it more fun. I’m reading a new-to-me author right now, but this is her debut so no backlist to read… I have a couple of authors I’m looking forward to trying this year (it’s one of my goals).

Joy, You’ve made my day. Starting these was honestly a way to schedule time with my writing friends. I’m missing conferences! And you have been so great about joining us.

My food pantry is organized. That is about it.

I have so enjoyed the chats! They have become one of the highlights of my week.
My big thing is to have the kitchen sink cleared out before going to bed, so that means washing dishes every night (we don’t have a dishwasher) and putting them away. We try, but sometimes it doesn’t always happen.

My bedside table is finally well-organized. I’ve been meaning to do it for years, and I finally did thanks to the pandemic keeping me home more. My tip is “Just do it!” (I know, easier said than done.)

hahaha I was going to say the only thing organized in my house are my bookshelves, but THEN I recalled organizing my junk/office supply drawer. I used little baskets to separate things like pens, pencils, tape, glue, batteries, pencil sharpeners/erasers, etc. It’s been a total game changer for that drawer. HA!

My top left bathroom drawer is pretty organized. I have little sections for items and it’s not hard for me to remember to put things back in the same place. (YEs I have that difficulty even at 45yrs old…lol)

We are refinancing our house and taking advantage of a lower rate. This has had me getting more and more organized. I have been getting my books organized, filing and shredding papers, etc. I don’t have any tips, other than remove yourself from items, and if it’s time to pass them on, do so and feel happy about it. The more I purge, the less stress and happier I feel! Plus, it’s always nice knowing it will go to someone else who will enjoy it for a time.

Well, well organized: our bedroom, my sewing room, our front room and our family room and two bathrooms. Funny now that I write this I realize these are the rooms that other people come into. LOL The kitchen I keep clean but the cupboards could probably use some help. I try to daily do upkeep on these rooms. I have a schedule that mostly I can keep on track with. Example: Monday I vacuum and dust etc..
