I hope you all had a merry Christmas and that your new year started well. I’m looking forward to my year of gratitude (I shared about that in my last post).
I spent the week before Christmas working on the edits of To Find Where She Belongs, Book #5 in The British Are Coming series (release #97 for me, coming February 9th), and then I spent the few days right after Christmas working through the final go-around after my editor checked my changes.

By Monday of this week, the script was in the hands of my audiobook producer and a host of other tasks related to the publication of a book had been accomplished. Whew! Great way to end the year.
Unless I’m taken by surprise, I believe the book I’m writing now, To Fall in Love at Christmas (July 8, 2026), will be the final story in The British Are Coming series.

Which means I’m expecting to begin either a new series or to write a single title release next. I just don’t know what it will be. I have several proposals tucked away in an electronic file, and my next project could be one of them. Or not! I like to write whatever takes my fancy. I always figure, if a story idea captures my attention, it has a better chance of catching the attention of readers too.
And so, I’m allowing my imagination to play while I ask the Lord for inspiration. Dreams, dreams, and more dreams That’s a great way to begin a new year IMHO.
What are your dreams for 2026?

PS Boo Bear would like to wish all my Inspired by Life and Fiction friends a very Happy New Year.

Happy New Year! Great accomplishments. When will book 5 be released? Sweet picture of Boo Bear.
To Find Where She Belongs releases February 9, 2026, and To Fall in Love at Christmas releases July 8, 2026. (I’ll go back and edit the post to include that info.)
Yay! I just finished To Reveal a Reckless Love just before the end of the year. I am so enjoying this series!
Thanks, D’Ann. This series was conceived back in 2009, so it’s been a lot of fun to see it come to life at last.
