I got so tickled at Angie’s post yesterday when she wrote about her velveteen pants from Amazon. If you didn’t read her Ode to My Stretchy Velveteen Pants, please do! It’ll make you smile.
Now to continue the Amazon thread…
While I don’t own a pair of stretchy Velveteen Pants—yet!—I do have some favorite Amazon items I’ve ordered (and reordered) recently.
#1
Do we have any candle fans? I LOVE candles—but not burning them. So this candle warmer lamp is a new BFF. Plus my candles last sooo much longer.
#2
Next is a book that our grandson, Leo, simply ADORES…
Roger Priddy’s children books are the BEST—and usually reasonably priced, especially for board books. If you have a truck-loving child in your life, they’ll love this.
#3
I know this item may seem really random, especially during winter, but if you have kids and need some indoor fun…beachballs! Leo and Ari have such fun with these. And they’re a fabulous price right now. Plus the weather’s been so mild lately, we took them into the backyard and had a free-for-all!

Lastly, socks! I know, not very exciting, but these socks are fabulous! My daughter-in-law, Kellie, borrowed a pair the other day—and raved. So I ordered another package and split them between her and my daughter, Kelsey.
So there we are—a lamp, a book, a ball, and socks. That’s the culmination of my exciting Amazon orders lately. But hey, it’s the small things, right? : )
And in honor of Angie…
I love my lamp, I love my book, I love my ball, and socks.
But while on deadline, pulling out my hair, rhyming gives me the pox. 🤣
So tell me…
What fabulous finds have you discovered on Amazon lately?
Hugs from Nashville—and back to editing this book that releases next year,
Tammy

I also hate burning candles. I thought I was the only one! LOL!
Nope, we’re kindred sisters on candle burning! 😉
Your iambic pentameter needs some work but your post cracked me up, Tammy! Now I’m thinking about my own ode to amazon post for next Monday. 😉
Do it! And yes, I am NOT into rhyming right now. LOL I thoroughly applaud Angie’s poem. Then again, that woman can do everything well!
I bought that same candle warmer for my daughter for her birthday last year. It was on her list. Maybe I should get one for myself. And while I’m on Amazon, I might as well order some of those socks you mentioned. They are so adorable!
I have that board book from when my boys were little. They loved it!
Ha, Amy! I love that.
Do it, Deena. You won’t be sorry. I first ordered them back in 2019 before heading to Israel. They’re fabulous. So cozy. Plus with five pair, you have plenty to share when guests have cold feet. ; )
My hat’s off to you for trying the ode to Amazon! And socks! I live in socks whenever I’m home, and I am always looking for cozy, comfortable pairs. Off to check out your sock selection!
I LOVE socks. I live in them, too, Angie. And truly, your ode was amazing, my friend. Is there anything you can’t do?!
The socks look so warm and comfy. As I age warm feet are so attractive!
My last Amazon buy was spray orchid fertilizer that was recommended to me by a friend who has all of her old orchids blooming again or in bud.
Yes, Jen, on warm feet being attractive (love your phrasing!). I tried my hand at raising orchids before. Emphasis on “tried.” 🙂
Like your choices — my go to winter socks are Smartwool made in USA! So worth the extra to have good thick wool socks
Oh, I’ll have to check out those socks, Marie. Thanks!
I’m still smiling about your post about your current top favorites from Amazon. Would you believe that on the day I read about your candle warmer lamp – I received the SAME EXACT one from my daughter for my birthday! (I hadn’t even known about them.) I can see why you like it. It’s a fun gift and I so enjoy the fragrance and the ambience.
Also, I meant to mention a couple of months ago that I read, “A Million Little Choices.” It is excellent – well done!
