I always think it’s fun to get a behind-the-scenes look at how book covers are created, and hopefully you do, too. Here are a few photos taken by my Managing Editor, Raela, during the photoshoot for An Ivy Hill Christmas. Enjoy!

I hope you enjoyed seeing these few photos, and I especially hope you will enjoy the stand-alone novella, An Ivy Hill Christmas. Available now!

It’s always fun to see behind the scenes at the cover shoots. I particularly enjoy seeing some of the poses that didn’t make the cut! This is a great cover!
Thanks, Joy. I agree–Jennifer is very talented!
Perfect choice. It is beautiful. Congratulations 🎈
Thank you, Lucy!
Wow I love to see how the cover shoots were made. So great to see what was done with the cravat and waistcoat even though the shoot was only of the back of the model. Extra commitment!
Good point! Thank you.
I love these behind-the-scenes peeks, Julie! I adore the finished cover, but now that I see the good-looking dapper fellow they got to play the part, I’m missing his handsome features on the cover. Ha!
Totally agree with Karen. His handsomeness would make a lovely cover. Maybe next book??
Not sure, Amy. But I agree he’s handsome!
Me, too. Wonder if BHP will do anything with those images later on. Thanks, Karen.
So interesting to see the process of shooting covers. Thank you, Julie.
I already have my copy and am looking forward to reading it when we enter the Christmas season. Love the cover!
Thanks, Betty!
I love to see behind-the-scenes photo shoots and book cover design progress! This was so fun. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Jocelyn. Thanks for commenting. Glad you enjoyed it!
So fun! And that’s one beautiful cover. Thanks for sharing!
Love seeing this—but that guy is too good-looking not to show his face on the cover!! 😍
I loved this peek into the cover shoot! The final cover is fabulous. ❤️
Thanks for sharing! I also wish we could have seen the model’s face on the cover. Ah well.
I read and enjoyed the novella! 🙂 It was lovely to revisit Ivy Hill for the Christmas season–meeting Richard and seeing how a few of the leads were doing in their new lives.
Since we just saw him from the back and in a different color of coat, could you have a face-on view of him for one of your upcoming books? It’s a shame to not see his face when he looks like a great Regency man. The readers won’t know the same model/photo shoot was used.
Cover photo shoots are so fun to peek into.
Thank you for sharing Love the Photos!
Such a fun post. Thanks so much for sharing the behind-the-scenes photoshoot. Can’t wait to read A Christmas at Ivy Hill.
