Reader Art!

March 9, 2018 By Becky Wade

My next book, Falling for You, releases in less than two months!

Back when I was expecting my babies, I remember that the first seven months of pregnancy took FOREVER.  Then the last two months seemed to speed up and streak past in an I-can-bend-over-to-pick-that-up-but-then-I-can’t-straighten-back-up blur.  Toward the end I’d think, “Oh?  What?  It’s almost time?  Yikes!  Now?  I’ve got so much to do!”

I feel the same way about each book’s birth as I enter the final stretch before it hits shelves.  The writing and the editing of the book took eons.  The two months prior to release flash by.  “Oh?  What?  It’s almost time?  Yikes!  Now?  I’ve got so much to do!”

Before I’m sucked into the blur of Falling for You’s release, I wanted to pause for a moment, look back, and highlight some of the wonderful “reader art” inspired by True to You, my 2017 release.  I love that creativity comes in so many different packages!  And I’m thankful to the following women for using their talents to create photographs and memes (images + text) in support of books.

Many, many thanks to the above ladies, and all the others who supported True to You by reading it, telling their friends about it, writing reviews, asking their library to purchase it, lending it to friends, selecting it for their book club, mentioning it on their blog or social media, etc etc etc.  Readers are amazingly gracious!

If a reader asked you how to support a book or an author, what would be your recommendation?

Before I go, I wanted to mention that I’ll be participating in events in three states in March and April.  If you live near any of the below venues, please come say hello!

My first recommendation would be to read and recommend to others.
I wish I had the creativity that the above ladies have! And those lines….wow, Becky! Do you ever read those later and think, “Wow! I wrote that!”?

Yes! I AM sometimes surprised by the things I wrote, Melissa. Especially when I go back to read the full manuscript after I complete the rough draft. I haven’t seen some of the early scenes in months and I often come across passages I have no recollection of writing. LOL!

I’d recommend sharing on social media favorite authors and their books. I even give books as gifts.

I’m impressed with the creativity of these readers!
