I don’t think I’ve read “Christy.” If I did, it was a long, long time ago and I don’t remember it. I really don’t think it’s the kind of book I would forget, though. I don’t know how I missed this one, because I’ve been a constant reader since I was 4 years old! Thank you for the giveaway!

Probably one of my favorite books ever! I have recommended it many times to others, including a teen who didn’t like to read. It sparked a life long love of books in her.

    Have a blessed day!

My goal this year is to read more must-read classics, and it sounds as if Christy certainly fits that category! I would absolutely love to read it! (I live in Ireland, but, thanks to a friend, I have access to a US mailing address.)

Regrettably, I must admit I have never read Christy in its entirety. I did love the TV version with Kelly Martin. I have a special place in my heart for the Appalachian region. My grandmother was born and raised in the hills of KY and moved to the southeastern corner when she married the first time.

This was one of the first Christian fiction books I read when I was growing up. My brother gave me the book when I was in the hospital recovering from an accident in gym class. (I dislocated my neck on a trampoline!) So it has a special place in my heart and I have reread it many times. I’d love to win this copy, because my original one is falling apart!

  29. Ruby Edwards says

    February 20, 2018 at 8:34 am

I LOVE Christy, but I do not own a copy. I remember reading it in high school and being amazed with how different it was from anything else I had read. Last year I listened online to Kellie Martin read Christy. Her performance was very impressive, to say the least, but not unexpected. She really brought life to all of the characters. I highly recommend listening to Kellie Martin’s reading of Christy.
