Favorite Holiday: Christmas. I love the songs, the lights, the decorations, even the weather. Mostly, I love being with family.
Favorite Vacation Spot: Disneyland/Disney World. I have never grown up. Me and Peter Pan.
Favorite Dessert: Strawberry-Rhubarb pie. Just the right blend of sweet and tart.

Favorite Holiday without a doubt is Christmas. We love it so much that we put up and decorate our Christmas tree before Halloween. Yes, you heard that right 😂. Favorite Vacation? My husband’s job prevents us from doing much travel, so IF we actually get to have a vacation, we usually stay fairly close to home and vacation in our favorite place – Branson, Missouri. Favorite Dessert? Hands down would be my momma’s pumpkin pie or her homemade chocolate cake.

Disney? Really? LOL the last time we were there (years ago), I promised myself I’d not be back until grandchildren. So… I do see us headed there again someday soon. 😉 Epcot, though, love that area! And love your pics! Beautiful family.

When you take the grands to Disney, invite me along. Splash Mountain remains my favorite ride. One of my favorite memories is of Francine Rivers and me running from ride to ride to ride. That was about 30 years ago, so I wouldn’t be running much now. LOL!!

Haha! Sorry, Robin, but I’m with Tammy. And even WITH kids it is not my happy place. We went when our oldest was 2 and he was cranky the entire time, despite napping in his stroller. I DID love the Swiss Family Treehouse at Disney World though. I could live there! 🙂

Deb, it is actually more fun when you go as an adult without kids.

I love this new segment, getting to know everyone.
I LOVE Disneyland and Disney World! While I didn’t choose this as my favorite in my response on this first segment, I truly believe these parks can be the “happiest place on earth”. I was privileged to visit Disneyland in August, 1956, a year after it opened and a month before my 11th birthday. My father had a business trip to Los Angeles, and he decided to take his two weeks of vacation on either side of this trip and drive our family from Virginia to California. My brother and I were so excited and truly felt lucky to be there. As adults, my husband and I took our two children to Disney World a year after it opened. I have been to these parks a number of times since these first visits – Disneyland, since my daughter moved to CA 30 years ago, and Disney World, since I am still an East coast Virginia resident. It can be a wonderful experience with grandchildren, but make sure they are old enough to enjoy it. One of my favorite trips was to Disney World with my son and wife when our granddaughter was five. I made wonderful albums through the Disney Photo-shop program and am so glad I did. She is now 17 and says she really doesn’t remember this trip, but we have the smiles on her face to prove her joy and excitement. She did go more recently at the age of 12 when her dance company participated in Dance America, which she remembers.

It’s been a good day.
Disney World has been our favorite place since it opened in the early 70’s…. I am 93 years old, my husband Jack died 6 years ago. We BOTH loved and enjoyed DW. We have 21 grandchildren, and we have purchased a share of Disney stock for each one, beginning from 1972 until 2010…. Also a Disney Christmas ornament for each Christmas. We’ve been blessed to go there ALOT, because we live in FL.
Yes, Disneyworld has been a big part of our lives.

So nice to read about your Disney experience, Jane.
What a wonderful idea to give your grandchildren Disney stock.

Sadly, I have never been to Disney World or taken my children there but as a teen I got to visit Disneyland and still remember what a good time that was.
I love the idea of strawberry rhubarb pie as a Christmas dessert so may have to try that one. Usually that treat is a Spring treat when the rhubarb and strawberries are in my garden.

Favorite holiday – Thanksgiving. I enjoy a day to reflect on the Lord’s blessings, delicious food, and time together with family and friends.
Favorite vacation – I visited Italy when I graduated from High School. It was incredible to walk where the Apostle Paul walked and see so many historical/Biblical sites. Plus, the food was incredible! These days, a quiet staycation at home is most enjoyable.
Favorite dessert – dark chocolate gelato, homemade tart cherry pie, or strawberry shortcake. (Sorry…too hard to choose just one.) 😂
