This past week (Wednesday through Tuesday), I was in the California mountains near Santa Cruz at the wonderful Mount Hermon camp and conference center. We had beautiful warm weather and beautiful rainy weather. But mostly the well over 200 attendees had fellowship and teaching that was extraordinary.
I taught six sessions over three days (about 9 hours worth) on using Scrivener. And I made a whole bunch of wonderful new friends.
Since I got home late on Tuesday night, I’m too tired for a lot of words, so I’m just going to share photos from my seven days and six nights at Mount Hermon.

What a treat to meet Carol Kent in person.

Fun to meet Kelly. I designed her website this year.

with Dennis and Jill, such a sweet couple

with Karen and Heidi (Heidi and I now have a running joke that we still may be laughing over in eternity)
Next month, I’ll be back with more photos, that time from my granddaughter’s wedding.

This is one writer’s conference I’ve always wanted to attend. Hope it was awesome, though the photos say it was.
I was a newbie this year. It is absolutely as wonderful as everybody always says. And so different from the conferences I usually attend that are almost all fiction writers. We were the minority at this conference, and that was actually quite refreshing.
Like Cara, I hope to get to Mt. Hermon one day. It’s a long way from Atlanta, though. 🙂 Hope to see you at the ACFW conference, Robin.
It’s a long way but it is worth it!
Thank you for sharing the photos. What a wonderful event!:-)
It was fun. Now I’m playing catch up. 😉
Love the photos – thanks for sharing!
You are so blessed, Robin! I love teaching at writers’ conferences. I always come home inspired by my students’ enthusiasm and commitment.
I was nervous since I’ve never taught Scrivener before, afraid that I wouldn’t deliver what the students wanted. Turned out, I worried needlessly.
Glad that you had a great time in California last week. Glad you finally got home yesterday. I think all air traffic was held up because of what happened in Belgium yesterday. Just glad you made it home safely.
Me too, Shirley. Thanks.
It was fun to see your photos, especially the one with Carol Kent. I was also blessed to meet her about ten years ago when she spoke at a Christian women’s conference for military wives in Germany. She is a very nice woman; very “real.” I still have the book she autographed for me.
