Something Old, Something New

September 19, 2019 By Karen Witemeyer

Out of all the books I’ve written, one particular family has proven to be most popular with my readers. You guessed it – the Archer brothers. These four reclusive brothers who raised themselves on the wild Texas frontier are not only named after heroes from the Alamo, but they are each rather heroic in their own right. As are the women who win their hearts.

Now you might notice in the collage above that only 3 brothers are mentioned by name – Travis, Crockett, and Neill. What about Jim? Well, those of you who have read Short-Straw Bride know that Jim finds his true love during the same time period as Travis. However, none of the Archer stories have been told from Jim and Cassie’s point of view.

Until this year.

That’s right! Coming this Christmas, there will be an entirely new Archer brothers tale, this time told from Jim and Cassandra Archer’s point of view. I’m so excited to welcome you back into the Archer clan for a festive family reunion. You’ll get to meet the next generation of little Archers as they run around the old homestead, and check in on all your favorite Archer characters.

I’m hoping to have a cover to share soon, so be watching for that. But in the meantime, the book that started it all, Short-Straw Bride, is on sale for only $1.99 (or less!) for the e-book version. Just in time to help you fall in love with the Archers all over again before their new story arrives for the holidays.

And if you already have a copy of Travis and Meri’s story sitting on your keeper shelf at home, consider sharing the love with a friend or family member by gifting them a copy of the e-book while it’s on sale. All you need is their e-mail address to send them an Archer surprise.

VERY exciting news in deed. I joined the party only this year and I’m thrilled to get even more visits with the family.

This is exciting news! I love The Archer brothers! Crockett is my favorite brother. His story was so clever and fun! But I have read them more than once 😉.
My favorite family to re-read are the McKenna clan by Dani Pettrey.

Crockett has such a playful personality. Always ready to tease his more serious brothers. Great choice, Beth. And I love the McKenna clan, too!

How fun it will be to again visit the Archer brothers and their families! Other families I enjoy “meeting” again in subsequent books are Mary Connealy’s Reeves and Kincaid brothers.

Great family additions, Pam! I love those Kincaid brothers of Mary’s. 🙂
