How Do Authors Keep Coming Up With Book Ideas?

September 2, 2016 By Jody Hedlund

One of the most common questions that readers ask writers is: "How do you keep coming up with book ideas? I just don't understand how you can find so many different stories to write." I recently finished writing my third book this year and am in the process of plotting another. You’d think my mind would be blank, that my creative juices would be sucked dry, that I’d have nothing … [Read more...]

Having Olympic-Size Dreams (Plus a Giveaway!)

August 19, 2016 By Jody Hedlund

One thing that I’ve really loved about watching the 2016 Olympics is hearing all of the personal stories behind the contestants. In many cases, the parents had a huge influence the athlete’s success. Time I wanted to protect. Some of them were good places that I’d subscribed to—for example Twitter notifications and even … [Read more...]

What I’ve Been Up to This Summer!

July 1, 2016 By Jody Hedlund

Hi Friends! Like most of you, I have a busy 4th of July weekend. I’ll be hanging out with friends at a barbecue and watching fireworks. Then my family is coming to visit for a few days (my two brothers and their wives and children) and we’ll be traveling to Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes and Traverse City for the Cherry Festival. It’ll be a busy but very fun time! Actually, summer tends to be busy … [Read more...]
